3 death, 10 of Kalimpong, 262 of Darjeeling district, 18 of Darjeeling Hills, 114 of Plains, 165 of SMC tested positive, 73 admitted in Covid unit of NBMCH

Out of 3240  tests done 162 tested positive, 16 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs- 22 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs- 

35 in Alipurduar, 82 in Coochbehar, 121 in Jalpaiguri, 181 in Uttar Dinajpur, 19 in Dakshin Dinajpur, 454 in Malda district tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 21 April 2021: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:

2 Death:

Fulbala Roy, 55 yr old patient of Mathabari Bhaktinagar Jalpaiguri died today in CCU (Covid ward) of NBMCH. 

Mira Debi, 75 yr old patient of Kalkut Debidanga Siliguri died today in RICU of NBMCH. 

Sapan Kundu, 69 yr old of Malbazar died in a  private nursing home at Sevoke Road.

Death of 2 in Darjeeling, 1 in Jalpaiguri and 4 in Malda recorded in the last 48 hours.

Test report in the 4 districts as received from VRD Laboratory at NBMCH

Tests done in the districts of Darjeeling- 1296, Kalimpong- 335, Jalpaiguri –1040, Alipurduar-569,  TOTAL= 3240

Of these 162  tested positive.

165 in SMC

165 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (130 in Darjeeling and 35 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

262 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 262 positive cases of the district, 130 are from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC. 

18 cases reported from the Darjeeling Hills (4 in Darjeeling Municipality, 1 in Kurseong Municipality,  7 in Mirik,  3 in Sukhiapokhari, 1 in Bijanbari, 2 in Takdah).

114 of the plains (26 in Naxalbari, 75 in Matigara, 3 in Phansidewa, 1 in Khoribari, 9 in Sukuna) also tested positive.

During the last 48 hours 232 new cases, 99 release is reported from Darjeeling. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Darjeeling district records 232 new cases, 20479 confirmed cases of which 19163 have recovered and 209 died while 1107 are active cases.

10 in Kalimpong:

10 new cases, 8 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Kalimpong district records 10 new cases, 2373 confirmed cases of which 2268 have recovered, 28 died and 77 are active cases.

35 in Alipurduar:

35 new cases, 10 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 35 new cases, 7937 confirmed cases of which 7726 have recovered and 86 died while 125 are active cases.

82 in Coochbehar: 

82 new cases, 29 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 82 new cases, 12377 confirmed cases of which 11977 have recovered, 72 died and 328 are active cases.

121 in Jalpaiguri: 

121 new cases, 63 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 121 new cases, 15968 confirmed cases of which 169 died while 15090 have recovered and 709 are active cases.

181 in Uttar Dinajpur:

181 new cases, 68 release reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Uttar Dinajpur records 181 new cases, 8050 confirmed cases of which 79 died while 7166 have recovered and 805 are active cases.

19 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

19 new cases, 33 release reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Dakshin Dinajpur records 19 new cases, 8733 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 8344 have recovered and 315 are active cases.

454 in Malda:  

454 new cases, 206 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 454 new cases, 16816 confirmed cases of which 13957 have recovered and 129 died and 2730 are active cases.

16 Discharged:

16 patients have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments. 

73 patients in NBMCH

Out of total 73 patients 61 are admitted in the CCU unit of the newly opened Covid Block of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

During the last 24 hours 12 patients are admitted in the Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 4 patients in the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, 5 in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward and 3 in Isolation ward -1, but no patients in Surgical isolation ward. 

COVID PATIENTS IN THE 8 DISTRICTS OF NORTH BENGAL

Today’s daily state bulletin regarding the report of the last 24 hrs and from the beginning till today stated that Darjeeling district records 232 new cases,20479 confirmed cases of which 19163 have recovered and 209 died while 1107 are active cases.

Similarly Kalimpong district records 10 new cases, 2373 confirmed cases of which 2268 have recovered, 28 died and 77 are active cases.

Alipurduar records 35 new cases, 7937 confirmed cases of which 7726 have recovered and 86 died while 125 are active cases.

Coochbehar records 82 new cases, 12377 confirmed cases of which 11977 have recovered, 72 died and 328 are active cases.

Jalpaiguri records 121 new cases, 15968 confirmed cases of which 169 died while 15090 have recovered and 709 are active cases.

Uttar Dinajpur records 181 new cases, 8050 confirmed cases of which 79 died while 7166 have recovered and 805 are active cases.
