KalimNews, Kalimpong, 5 April 2021: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:

0 Death:

Test report in the 4 districts as received from VRD Laboratory at NBMCH

Tests done in the districts of Darjeeling- 276, Kalimpong- 45, Jalpaiguri - 17, Alipurduar-316; TOTAL= 916.

Of these 30 tested positive .

26 in SMC

26 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (18 in Darjeeling and 8 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

33 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 33 positive cases of the district, 18 are from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC.

1 case is reported from the Darjeeling Hills (1 in Bijanbari) and 14 cases from the plains (9 in Matigara, 4 in Naxalbari, 1 in Phansidewa) 

26 new cases, 9 release reported today from Darjeeling. Darjeeling district records 26 new cases,18765 confirmed cases of which 18407 have recovered and 204 died while 154 are active cases.

1 in Kalimpong:

1 new case, 1 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Kalimpong district records 1 new case, 2253 confirmed cases of which 2214 have recovered, 27 died and 12 are active cases.

1 in Alipurduar:

1 new case, 1 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 1 new case, 7741 confirmed cases of which 7645 have recovered and 86 died while 10 are active cases.

6 in Coochbehar: 

6 new cases, 1 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 6 new cases, 11915 confirmed cases of which 11808 have recovered, 72 died and 35 are active cases.

16 in Jalpaiguri: 

16 new cases, 6 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 16 new cases, 14861 confirmed cases of which 164 died while 14627 have recovered and 70 are active cases.

28 in Uttar Dinajpur:

28 new cases, 6 release reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Uttar Dinajpur records 28 new cases, 6927 confirmed cases of which 78 died while 6718 have recovered and 131 are active cases.

19 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

19 new cases, 1 release reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Dakshin Dinajpur records 19 new cases, 8248 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 8122 have recovered and 52 are active cases.

54 in Malda:  

54 new cases, 15 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 54 new cases, 13019 confirmed cases of which 12701 have recovered and 114 died and 204 are active cases.

1 Discharged:

1 patient have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments. 

NBMCH

0 admitted in the CCU unit of the newly opened Covid Block of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

During the last 24 hours 4 patients are admitted in the Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). Of them 1 patient tested positive while 2 are suspected patients. There are 3 patients in the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, 1 patient in Surgical isolation ward and no patients in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward and in Isolation ward -1.
