23 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs- 
5 in Alipurduar, 58 in Coochbehar, 35 in Jalpaiguri, 94 in Uttar Dinajpur, 37 in Dakshin Dinajpur, 388 in Malda district tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 18 April 2021: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:

1 Death:
Sukhendu kumar Das, 80 yr old patient of Arabinda Palli in Siliguri died today in CCU (Covid ward) of NBMCH. He was admitted on 12th April.

Test report in the 4 districts as received from VRD Laboratory at NBMCH
Tests done in the districts of Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri , Alipurduar,  TOTAL= 470 
Of these 27 tested positive.

66 in SMC
66 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (54 in Darjeeling and 12 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

76 in Darjeeling district:
Of the 76 positive cases of the district, 54 are from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC. 
5 cases reported from the Darjeeling Hills (3 in Darjeeling Municipality, 2 in Sukhiapokhari) 
17 of the plains (13 in Matigara, 1 in Phansidewa, 1 in Khoribari, 2 in Naxalbari) also tested positive.

98 new cases, 77 release reported during the last 24 hours from Darjeeling. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Darjeeling district records 98 new cases,19916 confirmed cases of which 18895 have recovered and 205 died while 816 are active cases.

7 in Kalimpong:
7 new cases, 7 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Kalimpong district records 7 new cases, 2340 confirmed cases of which 2245 have recovered, 27 died and 68 are active cases.

5 in Alipurduar:
5 new case, 9 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 5 new cases, 7870 confirmed cases of which 7699 have recovered and 86 died while 85 are active cases.

58 in Coochbehar: 
58 new cases, 15 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 58 new cases, 12193 confirmed cases of which 11902 have recovered, 72 died and 219 are active cases.

35 in Jalpaiguri: 
35 new cases, 47 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 35 new cases, 15575 confirmed cases of which 167 died while 14925 have recovered and 483 are active cases.

94 in Uttar Dinajpur:
94 new cases, 44 release reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Uttar Dinajpur records 94 new cases, 7642 confirmed cases of which 78 died while 6985 have recovered and 579 are active cases

37 in Dakshin Dinajpur:
37 new cases, 21 release reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Dakshin Dinajpur records 37 new cases, 8565 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 8259 have recovered and 232 are active cases.

388 in Malda:  
388 new cases, 133 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 388 new cases, 15509 confirmed cases of which 13427 have recovered and 121 died and 1961 are active cases.

23 Discharged:
23 patients have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments. 

56 patients in NBMCH
Out of total 56 patients 47 are admitted in the CCU unit of the newly opened Covid Block of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).
During the last 24 hours 9 patients are admitted in the Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 4 patients in the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, 3 in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward but no patients in Surgical isolation ward and in Isolation ward -1. 

COVID PATIENTS IN THE 8 DISTRICTS OF NORTH BENGAL
Today’s daily state bulletin regarding the report of the last 24 hrs and from the beginning till today stated that Darjeeling district records 98 new cases,19916 confirmed cases of which 18895 have recovered and 205 died while 816 are active cases.
Similarly Kalimpong district records 7 new cases, 2340 confirmed cases of which 2245 have recovered, 27 died and 68 are active cases.
Alipurduar records 5 new cases, 7870 confirmed cases of which 7699 have recovered and 86 died while 85 are active cases.
Coochbehar records 58 new cases, 12193 confirmed cases of which 11902 have recovered, 72 died and 219 are active cases.
Jalpaiguri records 35 new cases, 15575 confirmed cases of which 167 died while 14925 have recovered and 483 are active cases.
Uttar Dinajpur records 94 new cases, 7642 confirmed cases of which 78 died while 6985 have recovered and 579 are active cases.
Dakshin Dinajpur records 37 new cases, 8565 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 8259 have recovered and 232 are active cases.
Malda records 388 new cases, 15509 confirmed cases of which 13427 have recovered and 121 died and 1961 are active cases.
