Dense fog occurred at one or two places over North 24 Parganas districts of Gangetic West Bengal.Very light to moderate rainfall occurred at one ort two places over Sikkim and Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar districts of Sub Himalayan West Bengal. Weather remained dry over the rest of the region. Today’s minimum temperature appreciably rose at one or two places in Odisha, Bihar and Gangetic West Bengal. No large change occurred else where in the region. Those were above to appreciably above normal at most places in Sikkim and Sub Himalayan West Bengal; at many places in Bihar and Jharkhand; at a few places in Gangetic West Bengal; below to appreciably below normal at a few places with above normal at one or two places in Odisha and normal else where in the region. Lowest minimum temperature of 11.0° C was recorded at Phulbani (Odisha) in the plains of the region. A cyclonic circulation lies over South west Bay of Bengal off north Srilanka coast at 1.5 km above mean sea level. A cyclonic circulation lies over Bangladesh at 0.9 km above mean sea level.
