KalimNews, Kalimpong, 31 January 2021: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals in the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:

No Death:

3 in SMC:

3 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (2 in Darjeeling and 1 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

4 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 4 positive cases of Darjeeling district, 2 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC, while 0 is from Darjeeling Hills.

Of the plains they are- 2 in Matigara. 

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 12 new cases,18312 confirmed cases of which 17927 have recovered and 203 died while 182 are active cases.

1 in Kalimpong:

1 new case, 2 release reported today from Kalimpong. 39 are active cases.

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Kalimpong district records 1 new case, 2223 confirmed cases of which 2161 have recovered, 25 died and 37 are active cases.

1 in Alipurduar:

1 new case, 2 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 2 new case, 7696 confirmed cases of which 7574 have recovered and 86 died while 36 are active cases.

2 in Coochbehar: 

2 new cases, 1 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 1 new case, 11809 confirmed cases of which 11672 have recovered, 72 died and 65 are active cases.

3 new cases, 10 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 2 new cases, 14629 confirmed cases of which 160 died while 14347 have recovered and 122 are active cases.

0 new case, 2 release reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Uttar Dinajpur records 3 new cases, 6618 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 6443 have recovered and 101 are active cases.

5 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 5 cases have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments.

During the last 24 hours no suspected Covid patients are admitted in the Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are no patients in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, Surgical isolation ward and Isolation ward -1.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

In Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 11 Covid-19 patients (6 are in ICU) are admitted, during the last 24 hours 0 patients are newly admitted while 1 is released.

Today’s daily state bulletin regarding the report of the last 24 hrs and from the beginning till today stated that Darjeeling district records 12 new cases,18312 confirmed cases of which 17927 have recovered and 203 died while 182 are active cases.

Similarly Kalimpong district records 1 new case, 2223 confirmed cases of which 2161 have recovered, 25 died and 37 are active cases.

Alipurduar records 2 new case, 7696 confirmed cases of which 7574 have recovered and 86 died while 36 are active cases.
