KalimNews, Kalimpong, 22 February 2021: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:

0 Death:

Test report in the 4 districts as received from VRD Laboratory at NBMCH

Tests done in the districts of Darjeeling- 32, Kalimpong- 46, Jalpaiguri - 105, Alipurduar-287; TOTAL= 470. 2 tested positive while 2 in repeat tests, tested positive.

1 in SMC:

1 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (1 in Darjeeling and 0 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

1 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 1 positive cases of the district, 1 is from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC.

No case is reported from Darjeeling Hills and none from the plains of the district excluding the SMC.

3 new cases, 8 release reported today from Darjeeling. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last Darjeeling district records 3 new cases,18418 confirmed cases of which 18142 have recovered and 203 died while 73 are active cases.

2 new cases, 1 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Kalimpong district records 2 new cases, 2231 confirmed cases of which 2195 have recovered, 26 died and 10 are active cases.

0 new case, 0 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 0 new case, 7704 confirmed cases of which 7616 have recovered and 86 died while 2 are active cases.

2 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

2 new cases, 0 release reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 Dakshin Dinajpur records 2 new cases, 8178 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 8099 have recovered and 5 are active cases.

1 in Malda:  

1 new case, 2 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 1 new cases, 12684 confirmed cases of which 12544 have recovered and 114 died and 26 are active cases.

2 Discharged:

2 patients have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments.

During the last 24 hours no suspected Covid patients are admitted in all the Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There is no patient in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, and no patients in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, Surgical isolation ward and Isolation ward -1.

In Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 2 Covid-19 patients (2 are in CCU) are admitted, during the last 24 hours, no patients are newly admitted while 0 is released.
