0 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs- 

1 in Alipurduar, 1 in Coochbehar, 3 in Jalpaiguri, 3 in Uttar Dinajpur, 0 in Dakshin Dinajpur, 1 in Malda district tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 23 February 2021: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:

1 Death:

Zairul Haque, 60 yr old of Vivekananda Road, Ward No 8 of SMC died in Dr. Chhang’s Covid SS Hospital, was admitted 10 February.

1 of Kalimpong died in Tribeni Covid Hospital. 

Test report in the 4 districts as received from VRD Laboratory at NBMCH

Tests done in the districts of Darjeeling- 427, Kalimpong- 44, Jalpaiguri - 274, Alipurduar-195; TOTAL= 1398. 4 tested positive while 1 in repeat tests, tested positive.

2 in SMC:

2 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (1 in Darjeeling and 1 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

3 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 3 positive cases of the district, 1 is from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC.

1 case is reported from Pulbazar from the Darjeeling Hills and 1 case of Matigara from the plains of the district tested positive..

3 new cases, 7 release reported today from Darjeeling. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last Darjeeling district records 3 new cases,18421 confirmed cases of which 18149 have recovered and 203 died while 69 are active cases.

1 in Kalimpong:

1 new case, 2 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Kalimpong district records 1 new case, 2232 confirmed cases of which 2197 have recovered, 27 died and 8 are active cases.

1 in Alipurduar:

1 new case, 0 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 1 new case, 7705 confirmed cases of which 7616 have recovered and 86 died while 3 are active cases.

1 in Coochbehar: 

1 new case, 1 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 Coochbehar records 1 new case, 11835 confirmed cases of which 11755 have recovered, 72 died and 8 are active cases.

3 in Jalpaiguri: 

3 new cases, 5 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 3 new cases, 14688 confirmed cases of which 163 died while 14468 have recovered and 57 are active cases.

3 in Uttar Dinajpur:

3 new cases, 5 release reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Uttar Dinajpur records 3 new cases, 6681 confirmed cases of which 76 died while 6538 have recovered and 67 are active cases.

0 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

0 new case, 0 release reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 Dakshin Dinajpur records 0 new case, 8178 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 8099 have recovered and 5 are active cases.

1 in Malda:  

1 new case, 3 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 1 new case, 12685 confirmed cases of which 12547 have recovered and 114 died and 24 are active cases.

2 Discharged:

2 patients have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments. 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours no suspected Covid patients are admitted in all the Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There is no patient in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, and no patients in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, Surgical isolation ward and Isolation ward -1.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

In Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 1 Covid-19 patients (1 in CCU) is admitted, during the last 24 hours, no patients are newly admitted while none are released.
