1 dies, 1 of Darjeeling Hills, 12 of Darjeeling district, 11 of SMC are infected

3 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs –1 in Sukhiapokhari tested positive.

Of the plains they are- 2 in Matigara.

1 in Alipurduar, 3 in Coochbehar, 4 in Jalpaiguri, 4 in Uttar Dinajpur, 1 in Dakshin Dinajpur, 4 in Malda districts tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 4 February 2021: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals in the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:

1 Death:

Pushpa Bala Roy, 62 yr old of Prasanna Nagar Belakoba, Jalpaiguri died in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital.

11 in SMC:

11 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (9 in Darjeeling and 2 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

12 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 12 positive cases of Darjeeling district, 9 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC, and 1 is from Darjeeling Hills – 1 in Sukhiapokhari tested positive.

Of the plains they are- 2 in Matigara.

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 7 new cases,18332 confirmed cases of which 17969 have recovered and 203 died while 160 are active cases.

Nil in Kalimpong:

No new case, 2 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Kalimpong district records no new case, 2226 confirmed cases of which 2167 have recovered, 26 died and 33 are active cases

1 in Alipurduar:

1 new case, 4 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 1 new case, 7700 confirmed cases of which 7584 have recovered and 86 died while 30 are active cases.

3 in Coochbehar: 

3 new case, 3 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 3 new cases, 11820 confirmed cases of which 11686 have recovered, 72 died and 62 are active cases.

4 in Jalpaiguri: 

1 death, 4 new cases, 5 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 4 new case, 14641 confirmed cases of which 162 died while 14375 have recovered and 104 are active cases.

4 in Uttar Dinajpur:

4 new case, 4 release reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Uttar Dinajpur records 4 new case, 6626 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 6457 have recovered and 95 are active cases.

1 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

1 new case, 3 release reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Dakshin Dinajpur records 1 new case, 8160 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 8045 have recovered and 41 are active cases.

4 in Malda:  

4 new cases, 3 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 4 new case, 12657 confirmed cases of which 12455 have recovered and 114 died and 88 are active cases.

3 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 3 cases have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments.

During the last 24 hours no suspected Covid patients are admitted in the Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are no patients in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, Surgical isolation ward and Isolation ward -1.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

In Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 11 Covid-19 patients (6 are in ICU) are admitted, during the last 24 hours 1 patient is newly admitted while 1 is released.

Today’s daily state bulletin regarding the report of the last 24 hrs and from the beginning till today stated that Darjeeling district records 7 new cases,18332 confirmed cases of which 17969 have recovered and 203 died while 160 are active cases.

Similarly Kalimpong district records no new case, 2226 confirmed cases of which 2167 have recovered, 26 died and 33 are active cases.

Alipurduar records 1 new case, 7700 confirmed cases of which 7584 have recovered and 86 died while 30 are active cases.

Coochbehar records 3 new cases, 11820 confirmed cases of which 11686 have recovered, 72 died and 62 are active cases.

Jalpaiguri records 4 new case, 14641 confirmed cases of which 162 died while 14375 have recovered and 104 are active cases.

Uttar Dinajpur records 4 new case, 6626 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 6457 have recovered and 95 are active cases.
