1 in Alipurduar, 1 in Coochbehar, 5 in Jalpaiguri, 1 in Uttar Dinajpur, 1 in Dakshin Dinajpur, 1 in Malda districts tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 2 February 2021: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals in the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:

1 Death:

1 death from Kalimpong

3 in SMC:

3 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (2 in Darjeeling and 1 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

2 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 2 positive cases of Darjeeling district, 2 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC, while none are from Darjeeling Hills and plains.

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 6 new cases,18320 confirmed cases of which 17952 have recovered and 203 died while 165 are active cases.

1 in Kalimpong:

1 death in Tribeni Covid Hospital, 1 new case, 1 release reported today from Kalimpong. 39 are active cases.

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Kalimpong district records 1 new case, 2225 confirmed cases of which 2164 have recovered, 26 died and 35 are active cases.

1 in Alipurduar:

1 new case, 2 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 1 new case, 7698 confirmed cases of which 7578 have recovered and 86 died while 34 are active cases.

1 in Coochbehar: 

1 new case, 5 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 4 new cases, 11814 confirmed cases of which 11680 have recovered, 72 died and 62 are active cases.

5 in Jalpaiguri: 

1 death, 5 new cases, 5 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 1 new case, 14635 confirmed cases of which 161 died while 14359 have recovered and 115 are active cases.

1 in Uttar Dinajpur:

1 new case, 4 release reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Uttar Dinajpur records 2 new case, 6621 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 6449 have recovered and 98 are active cases.

1 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

1 new case, 2 release reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Dakshin Dinajpur records 1 new case, 8157 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 8040 have recovered and 43 are active cases.

1 in Malda:  

1 new case, 4 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 1 new case, 12651 confirmed cases of which 12447 have recovered and 114 died and 90 are active cases.

12 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 12 cases have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments. 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours no suspected Covid patients are admitted in the Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are no patients in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, Surgical isolation ward and Isolation ward -1.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

In Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 12 Covid-19 patients (6 are in ICU) are admitted, during the last 24 hours 2 patients are newly admitted while 1 is released.

COVID PATIENTS IN THE 8 DISTRICTS OF NORTH BENGAL

Today’s daily state bulletin regarding the report of the last 24 hrs and from the beginning till today stated that Darjeeling district records 6 new cases,18320 confirmed cases of which 17952 have recovered and 203 died while 165 are active cases.

Similarly Kalimpong district records 1 new case, 2225 confirmed cases of which 2164 have recovered, 26 died and 35 are active cases.

Alipurduar records 1 new case, 7698 confirmed cases of which 7578 have recovered and 86 died while 34 are active cases.

Coochbehar records 4 new cases, 11814 confirmed cases of which 11680 have recovered, 72 died and 62 are active cases.
