6 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 1 in Kalimpong, 1 in Kurseong Municipality area, 1 in Sukhiapokhari.

Of the plains they are- 1 in Naxalbari. 

1 in Alipurduar, 1 in Coochbehar, 5 in Jalpaiguri, 1 in Uttar Dinajpur, 1 in Dakshin Dinajpur, 3 in Malda districts tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 1 February 2021: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals in the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:

1 Death:

Sachindra Nath Bakshi, 87 yr old of Bose para, NBCC Club Jalpaiguri died in Dr. Chhang’s Covid S.S.Hospital.

11 in SMC:

11 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (10 in Darjeeling and 1 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

13 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 13 positive cases of Darjeeling district, 10 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC, while 2 are from Darjeeling Hills- 1 in Kurseong Municipality area, 1 in Sukhiapokhari tested positive..

Of the plains they are- 1 in Naxalbari. 

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 2 new cases,18314 confirmed cases of which 17939 have recovered and 203 died while 172 are active cases.

1 in Kalimpong:

1 new case, 2 release reported today from Kalimpong. 39 are active cases.

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Kalimpong district records 1 new case, 2224 confirmed cases of which 2163 have recovered, 25 died and 36 are active cases.

1 in Alipurduar:

1 new case, 2 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 1 new case, 7697 confirmed cases of which 7576 have recovered and 86 died while 35 are active cases.

1 in Coochbehar: 

1 new case, 5 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 1 new case, 11810 confirmed cases of which 11677 have recovered, 72 died and 61 are active cases.

5 in Jalpaiguri: 

5 new cases, 5 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 5 new cases, 14634 confirmed cases of which 160 died while 14352 have recovered and 122 are active cases.

1 in Uttar Dinajpur:

1 new case, 4 release reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Uttar Dinajpur records 1 new case, 6619 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 6447 have recovered and 98 are active cases.

1 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

1 new case, 2 release reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Dakshin Dinajpur records 1 new case, 8156 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 8038 have recovered and 44 are active cases.

3 in Malda:  

3 new cases, 4 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 3 new cases, 12650 confirmed cases of which 12440 have recovered and 113 died and 97 are active cases.

6 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 6 cases have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments. 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours no suspected Covid patients are admitted in the Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are no patients in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, Surgical isolation ward and Isolation ward -1.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

In Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 12 Covid-19 patients (8 are in ICU) are admitted, during the last 24 hours 2 patients are newly admitted while none are released.

Today’s daily state bulletin regarding the report of the last 24 hrs and from the beginning till today stated that Darjeeling district records 2 new cases,18314 confirmed cases of which 17939 have recovered and 203 died while 172 are active cases.

Similarly Kalimpong district records 1 new case, 2224 confirmed cases of which 2163 have recovered, 25 died and 36 are active cases.

Alipurduar records 1 new case, 7697 confirmed cases of which 7576 have recovered and 86 died while 35 are active cases.
