No death; 6 of Hills (1 of Kalimpong and 5 of Darjeeling), 12 of SMC are infected

23 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 1 in Kalimpong,  1 in Darjeeling Municipality, 2 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Sukhiapokhari 1 in Takdah tested positive. Of the plains they are- 4 in Naxalbari.

3 in Alipurduar, 4 in Coochbehar, 11 in Jalpaiguri, 8 in Malda districts tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 11 January 2021 : Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals in the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:- 

No Death: 

No death is reported during the last 24 hours in the Covid hospitals of the Darjeeling district. 

12 in SMC:

12 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (5 in Darjeeling and 7 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

14 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 14 positive cases of Darjeeling district, 5 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 5 from Darjeeling Hills – 1 in Darjeeling Municipality, 2 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Sukhiapokhari 1 in Takdah tested positive. Of the plains they are- 4 in Naxalbari.

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 20 new cases,18053 confirmed cases of which 17536 have recovered and 200 died while 317 are active cases.

1 in Kalimpong:

1 new cases, 2 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 1 new cases, 2191 confirmed cases of which 2131 have recovered, 24 died and 36 are active cases.

3 in Alipurduar:

3 new cases, 2 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 1 new cases, 7663 confirmed cases of which 7540 have recovered and 85 died while 38 are active cases.

4 in Coochbehar: 

4 new cases, 4 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 1 new cases, 11747 confirmed cases of which 11544 have recovered, 72 died and 131 are active cases.

11 in Jalpaiguri: 

11 new cases, 7 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 12 new cases, 14511 confirmed cases of which 157 died while 14116 have recovered and 238 are active cases.

8 in Malda:  

8 new cases reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 8 new cases, 12563 confirmed cases of which 12276 have recovered and 113 died and 177 are active cases.

23 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 23 cases have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients of  private hospitals and army establishments. 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours 3 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 3 patients in Surgical isolation wards and no patients admitted in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, and in Isolation ward -1.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 22 Covid-19 patients (6 are in ICU) are admitted, during the last 24 hours 6 patients newly admitted and 2 released.
