33 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 4 in Kalimpong, 3 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Pulbazar, 1 Mirik tested positive. Of the plains they are- 2 in Sukuna, 3 in Matigara,

6 in Malda, 7 in Alipurduar, 11 in Coochbehar, 25 in Jalpaiguri and tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 1 January 2021 : Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals in the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:- 

Nil Death: 

No death recorded.

19 in SMC:

19 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (11 in Darjeeling and 8 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

21 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 21 positive cases of Darjeeling district, 11 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 5 are from Darjeeling hills- - 3 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Pulbazar, 1 Mirik tested positive. Of the plains they are- 2 in Sukuna, 3 in Matigara, 

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 43 new cases, 17870 confirmed cases of which 17188 have recovered and 198 died while 484 are active cases..

4 in Kalimpong:

4 new cases, 5 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 5 new cases, 2170 confirmed cases of which 2097 have recovered, 24 died and 49 are active cases.

7 in Alipurduar:

7 new cases, 7 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 4 new cases, 7643 confirmed cases of which 7507 have recovered and 85 died while 51 are active cases..

11 in Coochbehar: 

11 new cases, 21 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 11 new cases, 11678 confirmed cases of which 11375 have recovered, 72 died and 231 are active cases.

25 in Jalpaiguri: 

25 new cases, 14 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 28 new cases, 14391 confirmed cases of which 155 died while 13841 have recovered and 395 are active cases.

6 in Malda:  

6 new cases, 23 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 10 new cases, 12487 confirmed cases of which 12116 have recovered and 111 died and 260 are active cases.

33 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 33 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital, Nivedita Nursing Home, Tribeni Covid Hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today. 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours 4 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 3 patients admitted in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, 1 in Surgical isolation ward and nil in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, and no patients in Isolation ward -1.

1 each of 1st Division Som TE Darjeeling and Algarah Kalimpong –total 2 of GTA area aadmitted.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 21 Covid-19 patients (7 are in ICU) are admitted, during the last 24 hours 4 patients newly admitted and 3 released.

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital- 1 each of Lebong Darjeeling, Takdah Cantonment, - total 2 of GTA area admitted.

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 9 Covid-19 patients are admitted and nil patients are newly admitted and 8 released.

1 of Navin Gram Darjeeling - total 1 of GTA area is admitted in this hospital.

TRIBENI Covid Hospital 

5 patients of Darjeeling and 7 from Kalimpong are admitted, 2 released in this hospital.

The number of Covid-19 infected people in the district of Darjeeling are, 326 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 462 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 788.

There are 5 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital and one isolation ward of NBMCH outside GTA area, 12 in GTA area and 4 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, nil in Safe homes outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 21 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.

COVID PATIENTS IN THE SIX DISTRICTS OUT OF 8 DISTRICTS OF NORTH BENGAL

Today’s daily state bulletin regarding the report of the last 24 hrs and from the beginning till today stated that Darjeeling district records 43 new cases,17870 confirmed cases of which 17188 have recovered and 198 died while 484 are active cases.

Similarly Kalimpong district records 5 new cases, 2170 confirmed cases of which 2097 have recovered, 24 died and 49 are active cases.

Alipurduar records 4 new cases, 7643 confirmed cases of which 7507 have recovered and 85 died while 51 are active cases.

Coochbehar records 11 new cases, 11678 confirmed cases of which 11375 have recovered, 72 died and 231 are active cases.
