KalimNews, Kalimpong, 6 January 2021 : Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals in the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:- 

Nil Death: 

8 in SMC:

8 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (5 in Darjeeling and 3 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

8 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 8 positive cases of Darjeeling district, 5 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 1 is from Darjeeling hills- 1 in Takdah,tested positive. Of the plains they are- 2 in Naxalbari..

1 in Darjeeling Municipality, 1 in Sukhiapokhari 3 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Mirik, Pulbazar, 1 in Sukuna, 3 in Matigara, 1 in Phansidewa, 2 in Khoribari,

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 18 new cases,17963 confirmed cases of which 17378 have recovered and 200 died while 385 are active cases.

2 in Kalimpong:

2 new cases, 3 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 1 new cases, 2177 confirmed cases of which 2119 have recovered, 24 died and 34 are active cases.

2 in Alipurduar:

2 new cases, 4 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 2 new cases, 7655 confirmed cases of which 7531 have recovered and 85 died while 39 are active cases.

8 in Coochbehar: 

8 new cases, 6 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 8 new cases, 11719 confirmed cases of which 11485 have recovered, 72 died and 162 are active cases.

5 in Jalpaiguri: 

5 new cases, 52 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 17 new cases, 14451 confirmed cases of which 156 died while 14010 have recovered and 285 are active cases.

7 in Malda:  

7 new cases reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 10 new cases, 12530 confirmed cases of which 12218 have recovered and 113 died and 199 are active cases.

7 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 7 cases have been released including home isolation patients but excluding private hospitals and army establishments.

During the last 24 hours 3 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 2 patients admitted in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, and 1 in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, and no patients in Surgical isolation ward and in Isolation ward -1.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 13 Covid-19 patients (5 are in ICU) are admitted, during the last 24 hours 1 patients newly admitted and 5 released.
