14 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 4 in Kalimpong tested positive. Of the plains they are- 1 in Matigara, 1 in Phansidewa. 

2 in Alipurduar, 7 in Coochbehar, 17 in Jalpaiguri, 8 in Malda districts tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 7 January 2021 : Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals in the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:- 

Nil Death: 

8 in SMC:

8 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (7 in Darjeeling and 1 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

9 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 9 positive cases of Darjeeling district, 7 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while nil from Darjeeling hills tested positive. Of the plains they are- 1 in Matigara, 1 in Phansidewa. 

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 20 new cases,17983 confirmed cases of which 17412 have recovered and 200 died while 371 are active cases.

4 in Kalimpong:

4 new cases, 3 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 4 new cases, 2181 confirmed cases of which 2122 have recovered, 24 died and 35 are active cases

2 in Alipurduar:

2 new cases, 4 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 2 new cases, 7657 confirmed cases of which 7533 have recovered and 85 died while 39 are active cases.

7 in Coochbehar: 

7 new cases, 7 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 9 new cases, 11728 confirmed cases of which 11500 have recovered, 72 died and 156 are active cases.

17 in Jalpaiguri: 

17 new cases, 52 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 8 new cases, 14459 confirmed cases of which 156 died while 14032 have recovered and 271 are active cases.

8 in Malda:  

8 new cases reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 9 new cases, 12539 confirmed cases of which 12229 have recovered and 113 died and 197 are active cases.

14 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 14 cases have been released including home isolation patients but excluding private hospitals and army establishments. 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours 3 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 3 patients admitted in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, and no patients in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward,   Surgical isolation ward and in Isolation ward -1.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 20 Covid-19 patients (6 are in ICU) are admitted, during the last 24 hours 8 patients newly admitted and 1 released.

Today’s daily state bulletin regarding the report of the last 24 hrs and from the beginning till today stated that Darjeeling district records 20 new cases,17983 confirmed cases of which 17412 have recovered and 200 died while 371 are active cases.

Similarly Kalimpong district records 4 new cases, 2181 confirmed cases of which 2122 have recovered, 24 died and 35 are active cases.

Alipurduar records 2 new cases, 7657 confirmed cases of which 7533 have recovered and 85 died while 39 are active cases.

Coochbehar records 9 new cases, 11728 confirmed cases of which 11500 have recovered, 72 died and 156 are active cases.

Jalpaiguri records 8 new cases, 14459 confirmed cases of which 156 died while 14032 have recovered and 271 are active cases.

Malda records 9 new cases, 12539 confirmed cases of which 12229 have recovered and 113 died and 197 are active cases.
