KalimNews, Kalimpong, 25 January 2021: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals in the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:

0 Death:

5 in SMC:

5 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (3 in Darjeeling and 2 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

7 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 7 positive cases of Darjeeling district, 3 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC, while 3 are from Darjeeling Hills- 1 of Kurseong and 2 of Sukhiapokhari.

Of the plains they are- 1 in Sukuna. 

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 6 new cases,18251 confirmed cases of which 17837 have recovered and 203 died while 211 are active cases.

1 in Kalimpong:

1 new case, 1 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 1 new case, 2217 confirmed cases of which 2152 have recovered, 25 died and 40 are active cases.

1 in Alipurduar:

1 new case, 2 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 1 new case, 7688 confirmed cases of which 7566 have recovered and 86 died while 36 are active cases.

4 in Coochbehar: 

4 new cases, 2 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 2 new cases, 11800 confirmed cases of which 11654 have recovered, 72 died and 74 are active cases.

4 in Jalpaiguri: 

4 new cases, 5 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 3 new cases, 14608 confirmed cases of which 159 died while 14307 have recovered and 142 are active cases.

7 in Uttar Dinajpur:

7 new cases, 4 release reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Uttar Dinajpur records 3 new cases, 6595 confirmed cases of which 73 died while 6423 have recovered and 99 are active cases.

0 new case, 2 release reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Dakshin Dinajpur records 1 new case, 8145 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 8027 have recovered and 44 are active cases.

2 in Malda:  

2 new cases reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 6 new case, 12626 confirmed cases of which 12405 have recovered and 113 died and 108 are active cases.

7 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 7 cases have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments.

During the last 24 hours 1 suspected Covid patient is admitted in the Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There is 1 patient in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, and no patients in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, Surgical isolation ward and Isolation ward -1.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 8 Covid-19 patients (4 are in ICU) are admitted, during the last 24 hours 2 patients are newly admitted and 4 released.

Similarly Kalimpong district records 1 new case, 2217 confirmed cases of which 2152 have recovered, 25 died and 40 are active cases.
