1 in Alipurduar, 2 in Coochbehar, 4 in Jalpaiguri, 0 in Malda, 5 in Uttar Dinajpur, 0 in Dakshinr Dinajpur districts tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 19 January 2021 : Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals in the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:- 

No Death: 

Nil death is reported.

9 in SMC:

9 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (7 in Darjeeling and 2 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

13 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 13 positive cases of Darjeeling district, 7 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC, while 2 is from Darjeeling Hills -2 in Darjeeling Municipality tested positive

Of the plains they are- 3 in Sukuna, and 1 in Matigara.

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 7 new cases,18167 confirmed cases of which 17727 have recovered and 201 died while 239 are active cases.

1 in Kalimpong:

1 new cases, 1 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 1 new cases, 2205 confirmed cases of which 2146 have recovered, 25 died and 34 are active cases.

1 in Alipurduar:

1 new cases, 2 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 2 new cases, 7681 confirmed cases of which 7558 have recovered and 85 died while 38 are active cases.

2 in Coochbehar: 

2 new cases, 2 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 6 new cases, 11786 confirmed cases of which 11620 have recovered, 72 died and 94 are active cases. 

4 in Jalpaiguri: 

4 new cases, 12 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 4 new cases, 14575 confirmed cases of which 158 died while 14253 have recovered and 164 are active cases.

5 in Uttar Dinajpur:

5 new cases, 4 release reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Uttar Dinajpur records 9 new cases, 6566 confirmed cases of which 73 died while 6396 have recovered and 97 are active cases.

0 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

0 new cases, 1 release reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Dakshin Dinajpur records 2 new cases, 8133 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 8020 have recovered and 39 are active cases.

0 in Malda:  

0 new cases reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 3 new cases, 12604 confirmed cases of which 12360 have recovered and 113 died and 131 are active cases.

5 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 5 cases have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments.

During the last 24 hours 1 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There is 1 patient in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, and no patients admitted in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, and, in Surgical isolation wards and Isolation ward -1.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 15 Covid-19 patients (4 are in ICU) are admitted, during the last 24 hours 2 patients are newly admitted and 2 released.

Today’s daily state bulletin regarding the report of the last 24 hrs and from the beginning till today stated that Darjeeling district records 7 new cases,18167 confirmed cases of which 17727 have recovered and 201 died while 239 are active cases.

Similarly Kalimpong district records 1 new cases, 2205 confirmed cases of which 2146 have recovered, 25 died and 34 are active cases.
