KalimNews, Kalimpong, 18 January 2021 : Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals in the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:- 

No Death: 

5 in SMC:

5 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (4 in Darjeeling and 1 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

6 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 6 positive cases of Darjeeling district, 4 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC, while 2 is from Darjeeling Hills -2 in Takdah tested positive

1 in Darjeeling Municipality 2 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Takdah, Pulbazar,. 1 in Sukhiapokhari, 1 in Mirik,

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 7 new cases,18160 confirmed cases of which 17711 have recovered and 201 died while 248 are active cases.

1 in Kalimpong:

1 new cases, 1 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 1 new cases, 2204 confirmed cases of which 2145 have recovered, 25 died and 34 are active cases.

1 in Alipurduar:

1 new cases, 2 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 1 new cases, 7679 confirmed cases of which 7557 have recovered and 85 died while 37 are active cases.

5 in Coochbehar: 

5 new cases, 5 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 1 new cases, 11780 confirmed cases of which 11612 have recovered, 72 died and 96 are active cases.

12 in Jalpaiguri: 

12 new cases, 5 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 12 new cases, 14571 confirmed cases of which 158 died while 14241 have recovered and 172 are active cases.

0 in Malda:  

0 new cases reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 1 new cases, 12601 confirmed cases of which 12351 have recovered and 113 died and 137 are active cases.

5 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 5 cases have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments. 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours 2 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 2 patients admitted in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, and no patients in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, in Surgical isolation wards and Isolation ward -1.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 14 Covid-19 patients (5 are in ICU) are admitted, during the last 24 hours 1 patient is newly admitted and 5 released.

Today’s daily state bulletin regarding the report of the last 24 hrs and from the beginning till today stated that Darjeeling district records 7 new cases,18160 confirmed cases of which 17711 have recovered and 201 died while 248 are active cases.
