17 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 1 in Kalimpong, 1 in Darjeeling Municipality tested positive.

Of the plains they are- 2 in Matigara. 

1 in Alipurduar, 1 in Coochbehar, 4 in Jalpaiguri, 1 in Malda, 5 in Uttar Dinajpur, 2 in Dakshin Dinajpur districts tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 20 January 2021 : Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals in the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:- 

No Death: 

Nil death is reported.

8 in SMC:

8 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (6 in Darjeeling and 2 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

9 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 9 positive cases of Darjeeling district, 6 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC, while 1 is from Darjeeling Hills -1 in Darjeeling Municipality tested positive

Of the plains they are- 2 in Matigara 

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 18 new cases,18185 confirmed cases of which 17745 have recovered and 201 died while 239 are active cases.

1 in Kalimpong:

1 new cases, 1 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 1 new cases, 2206 confirmed cases of which 2147 have recovered, 25 died and 34 are active cases.

1 in Alipurduar:

1 new cases, 2 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 1 new cases, 7682 confirmed cases of which 7559 have recovered and 85 died while 38 are active cases.

1 in Coochbehar: 

1 new cases, 2 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 2 new cases, 11788 confirmed cases of which 11628 have recovered, 72 died and 88 are active cases.

4 in Jalpaiguri: 

4 new cases, 12 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 7 new cases, 14582 confirmed cases of which 159 died while 14267 have recovered and 156 are active cases.

5 in Uttar Dinajpur:

5 new cases, 4 release reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Uttar Dinajpur records 9 new cases, 6575 confirmed cases of which 73 died while 6403 have recovered and 99 are active cases.

2 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

2 new cases, 1 release reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Dakshin Dinajpur records 2 new cases, 8135 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 8021 have recovered and 409 are active cases.

1 in Malda:  

1 new cases reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 1 new cases, 12605 confirmed cases of which 12372 have recovered and 113 died and 120 are active cases.

17 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 17 cases have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments.

During the last 24 hours 2 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There is 1 patient in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, and 1 in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, no patients admitted in Surgical isolation wards and Isolation ward -1.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 13 Covid-19 patients (3 are in ICU) are admitted, during the last 24 hours 2 patients are newly admitted and 4 released.
