1 death (of Siliguri), 12 of Hills (7 in Kalimpong and 5 in Darjeeling), 5 of SMC are infected

3 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 7 in Kalimpong, 4 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Sukhiapokhari, tested positive.

Of the plains they are- 5 in Matigara and 2 in Naxalbari.

2 in Alipurduar, 1 in Coochbehar, 5 in Jalpaiguri, 2 in Malda, 10 in Uttar Dinajpur, 2 in Dakshin Dinajpur districts tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 22 January 2021 : Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals in the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:- 

1 Death: 

Ram Chandra Pal, 70 yr old of Ashrampara Siliguri died in Dr. Chhang’s Covid SS Hospital.

5 in SMC:

5 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (3 in Darjeeling and 2 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

15 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 15 positive cases of Darjeeling district, 3 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC, while 0 is from Darjeeling Hills - 4 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Sukhiapokhari, tested positive.

Of the plains they are- 5 in Matigara and 2 in Naxalbari.

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 18 new cases,18213 confirmed cases of which 17786 have recovered and 203 died while 224 are active cases.

7 in Kalimpong:

7 new cases, 1 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 7 new cases, 2214 confirmed cases of which 2149 have recovered, 25 died and 34 are active cases.

2 in Alipurduar:

2 new cases, 1 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 1 new cases, 7685 confirmed cases of which 7561 have recovered and 86 died while 40 are active cases.

1 in Coochbehar: 

1 new cases, 1 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 1 new cases, 11790 confirmed cases of which 11640 have recovered, 72 died and 78 are active cases.

5 in Jalpaiguri: 

5 new cases, 14 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 7 new cases, 14594 confirmed cases of which 159 died while 14285 have recovered and 150 are active cases.

10 in Uttar Dinajpur:

10 new cases, 4 release reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Uttar Dinajpur records 5 new cases, 6583 confirmed cases of which 73 died while 6407 have recovered and 103 are active cases.

2 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

2 new cases, 2 release reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Dakshin Dinajpur records 2 new cases, 8140 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 8023 have recovered and 43 are active cases.

2 in Malda:  

2 new cases reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 4 new cases, 12614 confirmed cases of which 12383 have recovered and 113 died and 118 are active cases

3 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 3 cases have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments.

During the last 24 hours no suspected Covid patients are admitted in all three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are no patients in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, Surgical isolation ward and Isolation ward -1.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 10 Covid-19 patients (4 are in ICU) are admitted, during the last 24 hours 2 patient are newly admitted and 2 released.

Today’s daily state bulletin regarding the report of the last 24 hrs and from the beginning till today stated that Darjeeling district records 18 new cases,18213 confirmed cases of which 17786 have recovered and 203 died while 224 are active cases.

Similarly Kalimpong district records 7 new cases, 2214 confirmed cases of which 2149 have recovered, 25 died and 34 are active cases.

Coochbehar records 1 new cases, 11790 confirmed cases of which 11640 have recovered, 72 died and 78 are active cases.
