1 death (of Kalimpong); 2 of Hills (2 of Kalimpong), 8 of SMC are infected

24 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 2 in Kalimpong,  Of the plains they are- 1 in Naxalbari and 4 in Matigara.

3 in Alipurduar, 0 in Coochbehar, 11 in Jalpaiguri, 3 in Malda districts tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 15 January 2021 : Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals in the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:- 

1 Death: 

1 death is reported during the last 24 hours in Covid hospitals of Darjeeling district. 

Sangay Sherpa, 68 yr old of Ranibagn Algarah Kalimpong died in Dr. Chhang’s Covid Hospital.

8 in SMC:

8 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (5 in Darjeeling and 3 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

10 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 10 positive cases of Darjeeling district, 5 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC, while nil is from Darjeeling Hills. Of the plains they are- 1 in Naxalbari and 4 in Matigara.

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 16 new cases,18124 confirmed cases of which 17642 have recovered and 200 died while 282 are active cases.

2 in Kalimpong:

1 died, 2 new cases, 2 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 2 new cases, 2200 confirmed cases of which 2138 have recovered, 24 died and 38 are active cases.

3 in Alipurduar:

3 new cases, 2 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 1 new cases, 7674 confirmed cases of which 7549 have recovered and 85 died while 40 are active cases.

Nil in Coochbehar: 

No new cases, 4 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 1 new cases, 11768 confirmed cases of which 11581 have recovered, 72 died and 115 are active cases.

11 in Jalpaiguri: 

11 new cases, 21 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 5 new cases, 1452 confirmed cases of which 158 died while 14186 have recovered and 198 are active cases.

3 in Malda:  

3 new cases reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 16 new cases, 12594 confirmed cases of which 12315 have recovered and 113 died and 166 are active cases.

24 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 24 cases have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments. 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours 3 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 2 patients admitted in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, and 1 patient in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward and nil in Surgical isolation wards and Isolation ward -1.

1 each of 1st Division Som TE Darjeeling and Algarah Kalimpong –total 2 of GTA area admitted.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 19 Covid-19 patients (2 are in ICU) are admitted, during the last 24 hours 1 patient is newly admitted and 0 released.

Today’s daily state bulletin regarding the report of the last 24 hrs and from the beginning till today stated that Darjeeling district records 16 new cases,18124 confirmed cases of which 17642 have recovered and 200 died while 282 are active cases.

Similarly Kalimpong district records 2 new cases, 2200 confirmed cases of which 2138 have recovered, 24 died and 38 are active cases.
