Nil death; 26 of Hills (16 of Kalimpong and 10 of Darjeeling), 43 of SMC, 49 of GTA area infected

71 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 16 in Kalimpong, 2 in Darjeeling Municipality, 5 in Kurseong Municipality, 3 in Pulbazar. Of the plains they are- 3 in Sukuna, 15 in Matigara, 2 in Khoribari, 1 in Naxalbari, and 1 in Phansidewa tested positive.  23 in Alipurduar, 39 in Coochbehar, 86 in Jalpaiguri and 50 in Malda tested positive.


KalimNews, Kalimpong, 6 December 2020: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals in the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:- 

Nil Death: 

43 in SMC:
43 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (27 in Darjeeling and 16 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

59 in Darjeeling district:
Of the 59 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district, 27 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 10 are from the Darjeeling hills and they are- 2 in Darjeeling Municipality, 5 in Kurseong Municipality, 3 in Pulbazar. Of the plains they are- 3 in Sukuna, 15 in Matigara, 2 in Khoribari, 1 in Naxalbari, and 1 in Phansidewa tested positive. 

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 151 new cases,16145 confirmed cases of which 15062 have recovered and 188 died while 895 are active cases.

16 in Kalimpong:
16 new cases from Kalimpong is reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 22 new cases, 1920 confirmed cases of which 1785 have recovered, 22 died and 113 are active cases.
 
50 in Malda:  
50 new cases reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 59 new cases, 11803 confirmed cases of which 11282 have recovered and 105 died and 416 are active cases.

23 in Alipurduar:
23 new cases, 27 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 23 new cases, 7359 confirmed cases of which 7172 have recovered and 85 died while 102 are active cases.

39 in Coochbehar: 
39 new cases, 35 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 66 new cases, 10949 confirmed cases of which 10387 have recovered, 65 died and 496 are active cases.

86 in Jalpaiguri: 
86 new cases, 92 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 90 new cases, 13074 confirmed cases of which 139 died while 12114 have recovered and 821 are active cases.

71 Discharged:
After testing negative and recovery 71 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital, Nivedita Nursing Home, Tribeni Covid Hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today. 

NBMCH
During the last 24 hours 20 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 6 patients in Surgical isolation ward, and 13 in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, 1 patients in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward and no patient in Isolation ward -1 are admitted.

1 each of Takdah, Bijanbari and Fagu Gorubathan, Kalimpong–total 3 of GTA area are admitted.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 
At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 71 Covid-19 patients are admitted while 21 are in ICU, while during the last 24 hours 3 patients are newly admitted and 6 are released.

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital- 1 each of  Sudhapatol Kurseong, Singell TE Kurseong, Dr. Zakir Hussain Busty, North Point Singmari, Rashik gram Darjeeling and 29th Mile Kalimpong (6) are admitted. 

DESUN Covid Hospital
In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 40 Covid-19 patients are admitted and 7 patients are newly admitted, 4 are released.

1 each of Nandalal Gaon Mirik, MP Road Darjeeling, Reserve forest Mungpoo, Teesta Valley of GTA area (4) are admitted.

SILIGURI INDOOR STADIUM
1 each from Mirik and Shantigram admitted.

GTATRIBENI Covid Hospital 
9 patients of Darjeeling and 24 from Kalimpong are admitted, 1 released in this hospital. 

BATASIA TB HOSPITAL SAFE HOME
1 asymptomatic Covid patients of Darjeeling are being treated here.

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES
The number of Covid-19 infected people in the district of Darjeeling are, 326 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 545 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 871.

There are 13 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital and one isolation ward of NBMCH outside GTA area, 33 in GTA area and 1 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 2 in Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 49 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.

Number of Covid patients in the six districts of North Bengal
Today’s daily state bulletin regarding the report of the last 24 hrs stated that Darjeeling district records 151 new cases,16145 confirmed cases of which 15062 have recovered and 188 died while 895 are active cases.

Similarly Kalimpong district records 22 new cases, 1920 confirmed cases of which 1785 have recovered, 22 died and 113 are active cases.

Alipurduar records 23 new cases, 7359 confirmed cases of which 7172 have recovered and 85 died while 102 are active cases.
