40 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 9 in Kalimpong, 1 in Darjeeling Municipality, 1 in Kurseong Municipality, 3 in Takdah. Of the plains they are- 3 in Sukuna, 1 in Phansidewa 7 in Naxalbari, 2 in Matigara tested positive. 

23 in Malda, 8 in Alipurduar, 25 in Coochbehar, 42 in Jalpaiguri and tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 25 December 2020: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals in the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:- 

Nil Death:

No death recorded during the last 24 hours. 

23 in SMC:

23 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (14 in Darjeeling and 9 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

37 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 37 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district, 21 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 4 is from the Darjeeling hills - 1 in Darjeeling Municipality, 1 in Kurseong Municipality, 3 in Takdah. Of the plains they are- 3 in Sukuna,  1 in Phansidewa 7 in Naxalbari, 2 in Matigara tested positive. 

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 64 new cases,17538 confirmed cases of which 16871 have recovered and 196 died while 471 are active cases.

5 in Kalimpong:

5 new cases, 11 release from Kalimpong district records 5 new cases, 2124 confirmed cases of which 2054 have recovered, 23 died and 47 are active cases.

23 in Malda:  

23 new cases, 28 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 23 new cases, 12381 confirmed cases of which 11923 have recovered and 109 died and 349 are active cases.

8 in Alipurduar:

8 new cases, 12 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 8 new cases, 7601 confirmed cases of which 7462 have recovered and 85 died while 54 are active cases.

9 in Coochbehar: 

9 new cases, 12 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 25 new cases, 11571 confirmed cases of which 11137 have recovered, 70 died and 364 are active cases.

42 in Jalpaiguri: 

42 new cases, 43 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 42 new cases, 14192 confirmed cases of which 155 died while 13601 have recovered and 436 are active cases.

40 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 40 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital, Nivedita Nursing Home, Tribeni Covid Hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today. 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours 5 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 2 patients are admitted in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, 1 in Surgical isolation ward  and 2 in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, and no patients inIsolation ward -1.

1 of Tindharia –total 1 of GTA area are admitted.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 19 Covid-19 patients are admitted, during the last 24 hours 4 patients are newly admitted and 1 released.

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 8 Covid-19 patients are admitted and nil patients are newly admitted, 9 released.
