76 new Covid cases in Darj dist
SNS, SILIGURI. 3 DECEMBER 2020: Darjeeling district recorded 76 new cases of Covid-19 today Thirty-seven of the fresh cases were from the Siliguri Municipal corporation, five from Darjeeling Municipality, four from Sukna, three from Kurseong Municipality, 12 from Matigara, three from Mirik, eight from Naxalbari, and four from Phansidewa, sources said.
A total of 33 cases were also detected from the Jalpaiguri portion of the SMC.
Meanwhile, three persons who had tested positive for Covid-19 died in Siliguri today, sources said. An 86 year-old resident of Pradhannagar in Siliguri died at Dr Chhang's hospital at Matigara.He had been admitted to the hospital on 26 November.
60-year-old resident of Darjeeling More in the town died at the respiratory intensive care unit of the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital, while another 69 year-old resident of Mungpo in Darjeeling died at Desun Hospital at Kawakhali, he had been admitted there on 1 December.
Keeping up with the dip in daily cases, Malda detected another 19 positive cases last night, sources said.
