3 death; 25 of Hills (14 of Kalimpong and 11 of Darjeeling), 50 of SMC, 58 of GTA area infected

24 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 14 in Kalimpong, 4 in Kurseong Municipality, 3 in Mirik, 2 in Pulbazar, 2 in Takdah. Of the plains they are- 11 in Sukuna, 3 in Khoribari, 16 in Matigara, 6 in Naxalbari, and 3 in Phansidewa tested positive. 17 in Alipurduar, 26 in Coochbehar, 47 in Jalpaiguri and 18 in Malda tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 2 December 2020: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals within the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:- 

3 Death: 

3 death reported during the last 24 hours in the designated Covid hospitals and nursing homes of Darjeeling district. 

Chhailang Blon Thapa, 60 yr old of Ward no 4 Mirik Police Line ;

Sabita Duta, 68 yr old of Raja Rammohan Roy Road Hakimpara Siliguri died in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital.

Binod Chandra Burman, 60 yr old of Bairagipara Ghogudanga Jalpaiguri died in Desun Covid Hospital.

 

50 in SMC:

50 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (31 in Darjeeling and 19 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

 

86 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 86 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district, 31 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 11 are from the Darjeeling hills and they are- 4 in Kurseong Municipality, 3 in Mirik, 2 in Pulbazar, 2 in Takdah. Of the plains they are- 11 in Sukuna, 3 in Khoribari, 16 in Matigara, 6 in Naxalbari, and 3 in Phansidewa tested positive.

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 136 new cases,15571 confirmed cases of which 14584 have recovered and 184 died while 803 are active cases.

14 new cases, 11 release from Kalimpong is reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 14 new cases, 1827 confirmed cases of which 1733 have recovered, 22 died and 72 are active cases.

 

18 in Malda:  

18 new cases, reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 56 new cases, 11569 confirmed cases of which 11116 have recovered and 102 died and 351 are active cases.

 

17 in Alipurduar:

17 new cases, 12 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 12 new cases, 7243 confirmed cases of which 7082 have recovered and 83 died while 78 are active cases.

 

26 in Coochbehar: 

26 new cases, 31 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 51 new cases, 10693 confirmed cases of which 10242 have recovered, 64 died and 387 are active cases.

 

47 in Jalpaiguri: 

47 new cases, 40 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 134 new cases, 12613 confirmed cases of which 135 died while 11688 have recovered and 790 are active cases.

 

24 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 24 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital, Nivedita Nursing Home, Tribeni Covid Hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today. 

 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours 16 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 6 patients in Surgical isolation ward, and 9 in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, 1 patients in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward and no patient in Isolation ward -1 are admitted.

1 each of Takdah, Pulbazar and 1 of Fagu Gorubathan–total 3 of GTA area are admitted.

 

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 71 Covid-19 patients are admitted while 21 are in ICU, while during the last 24 hours 3 patients are newly admitted and 6 are released.

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital- 1 each of  Ghayabari Kurseong, Giddepahar Kurseong, Ambotia Kurseong, Sudhapatol Kurseong, Simulbari, Jawahar busty Darjeeling, Dr. Zakir Hussain Busty, NB Sing Road Darjeeling, North Point Singmari, 29th Mile Kalimpong GTA area (11) are admitted. 

 

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 58 Covid-19 patients are admitted and 2 patients are newly admitted, 24 are released.

1 each of Nandalal Gaon Mirik, Mahendra gaon Mirik, Upper Doomaram Kurseong, MP Road Darjeeling, Reserve forest Mungpoo, Mungpoo of GTA area (6) are admitted.

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES

The number of Covid-19 infected people in the district of Darjeeling are, 567 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 561 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1128.

There are 21 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital and one isolation ward of NBMCH outside GTA area, 29 in GTA area and 6 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 2 in Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 58 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.
