86 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last  24 hrs – 14 in Kalimpong, 1 in Darjeeling Municipality, 2 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Sukhiapokhari, 2 in Mirik. Of the plains they are- 3 in Sukuna, 1 in Khoribari, 8 in Matigara, 5 in Naxalbari, and 2 in Phansidewa tested positive. 14 in Malda, 22 in Alipurduar, 27 in Coochbehar, 48 in Jalpaiguri and tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 11 December 2020: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals in the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:- 

Nil Death: 

No death recorded for the second time.

18 in SMC:

18 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (14 in Darjeeling and 4 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

39 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 39 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district, 14 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 6 are from the Darjeeling hills and they are- 1 in Darjeeling Municipality, 2 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Sukhiapokhari, 2 in Mirik. Of the plains they are- 3 in Sukuna, 1 in Khoribari, 8 in Matigara, 5 in Naxalbari, and 2 in Phansidewa tested positive.

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 84 new cases,16577 confirmed cases of which 15557 have recovered and 192 died while 828 are active cases.

14 in Kalimpong:

14 new cases, 26 release from Kalimpong is reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 14 new cases, 1977 confirmed cases of which 1866 have recovered, 22 died and 89 are active cases.

14 in Malda:  

14 new cases reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 36 new cases, 11937 confirmed cases of which 11468 have recovered and 108 died and 361 are active cases.

22 in Alipurduar:

22 new cases reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 7 new cases, 7430 confirmed cases of which 7255 have recovered and 85 died while 90 are active cases.

27 in Coochbehar: 

27 new cases, 25 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 41 new cases, 11154 confirmed cases of which 10612 have recovered, 66 died and 476 are active cases.

48 in Jalpaiguri: 

2 death, 48 new cases, 68 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 48 new cases, 13420 confirmed cases of which 143 died while 12541 have recovered and 736 are active cases.

86 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 86 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital, Nivedita Nursing Home, Tribeni Covid Hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today. 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours 11 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 1 patients in Surgical isolation ward, and 4 in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, 6 patients in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward and no patient in Isolation ward -1 are admitted.

1 of Fagu Gorubathan, and 2 of Pedong Kalimpong–total 3 of GTA area are admitted.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 69 Covid-19 patients are admitted while 19 are in ICU, while during the last 24 hours 6 patients are newly admitted and 1 are released.

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital- 1 each of  Mary Villa Darjeeling, Singell TE Kurseong, M. V. Road Kurseong, Super Market Kurseong, Mahanadi Kurseong and BDO Office Kalimpong, Dalgaon Gorubathan, 29th Mile Kalimpong (8) are admitted. 

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 41 Covid-19 patients are admitted and 4 patients are newly admitted, 6 are released.

1 of Bhalukhop Kalimpong of GTA area (1) admitted.

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES

The number of Covid-19 infected people in the district of Darjeeling are, 326 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 528 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 854.

There are 12 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital and one isolation ward of NBMCH outside GTA area, 17 in GTA area and 10 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 1 in Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 40 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.
