2 death; 26 of Hills (20 of Kalimpong and 6 of Darjeeling), 35 of SMC, 58 of GTA area infected

60 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 20 in Kalimpong, 1 in Darjeeling Municipality and 2 in Mirik. Of the plains they are- 1 in Sukuna, 1 in Khoribari, 8 in Matigara, 5 in Naxalbari, and 1 in Phansidewa tested positive.  

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 1 December 2020: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals within the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:- 

2 Death: 

2 death reported during the last 24 hours in the designated Covid hospitals and nursing homes of Darjeeling district. 

Narayan Chandra Banik, 69 yr old of Surya Sen Street Ward no 22 Dabgram Siliguri died in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital.

Prabha Rajak, 46 yr old of Jalapahar Darjeeling died in Desun Covid Hospital

17 in SMC:

17 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (6 in Darjeeling and 11 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

25 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 25 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district, 6 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 3 are from the Darjeeling hills and they are- 1 in Darjeeling Municipality and 2 in Mirik. Of the plains they are- 1 in Sukuna, 1 in Khoribari, 8 in Matigara, 5 in Naxalbari, and 1 in Phansidewa tested positive.  

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 98 new cases,15435 confirmed cases of which 14472 have recovered and 182 died while 781 are active cases.

20 in Kalimpong:

20 new cases, 20 release from Kalimpong is reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 20 new cases, 1813 confirmed cases of which 1722 have recovered, 22 died and 69 are active cases.

32 in Malda:  

32 new cases, reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 84 new cases, 11513 confirmed cases of which 11076 have recovered and 102 died and 335 are active cases.

18 in Alipurduar:

18 new cases, 7 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 17 new cases, 7231 confirmed cases of which 7061 have recovered and 83 died while 87 are active cases.

21 in Coochbehar: 

21 new cases, 38 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 82 new cases, 10642 confirmed cases of which 10206 have recovered, 64 died and 372 are active cases.

47 in Jalpaiguri: 

1 death, 47 new cases, 40 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 113 new cases, 12479 confirmed cases of which 135 died while 11632 have recovered and 712 are active cases.

60 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 60 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital, Nivedita Nursing Home, Tribeni Covid Hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today. 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours 19 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 5 patients in Surgical isolation ward, and 13 in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, 1 patients in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward and no patient in Isolation ward -1 are admitted.

1 each of Takdah, Pulbazar and 1 of Fagu Gorubathan–total 3 of GTA area are admitted.

 

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 71 Covid-19 patients are admitted while 21 are in ICU, while during the last 24 hours 3 patients are newly admitted and 6 are released.

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital- 1 each of  Ghayabari Kurseong, Singel TE, Giddepahar Kurseong, Ambotia Kurseong, Simulbari, Jawahar busty Darjeeling, Dr. Zakir Hussain Busty, NB Sing Road Darjeeling, North Point Singmari, Mahendra nagar Mirik, 29th Mile Kalimpong GTA area (12) are admitted. 

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 81 (out of 100 bed) Covid-19 patients are admitted and 3 patients are newly admitted, 1 are released.

1 each of Sudhapa Tol Kurseong, Nandalal Gaon Mirik, Mahendra gaon Mirik, Upper Doomaram Kurseong, MP Road Darjeeling, Reserve forest Mungpoo of GTA area (6) are admitted.

HATIGHISA SAFE HOUSE 

Nil of GTA admitted. 

SILIGURI INDOOR STADIUM

1 each from Mirik and Shantigram,admitted.

TRIBENI Covid Hospital 

9 patients of Darjeeling and 20 from Kalimpong are admitted, 1 released in this hospital. 

DISHA SAFE HOME

4 asymptomatic Covid patients of Kalimpong district are admitted and being treated here.

FARMERS TRAINING CENTRE PEDONG

2 asymptomatic Covid patients of Kalimpong district are admitted and being treated here.

ITI SAFE HOME, GORUBATHAN

Nil asymptomatic Covid patients of Kalimpong are being treated here.

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES

The number of Covid-19 infected people in the district of Darjeeling are, 567 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 563 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1130.

There are 21 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital and one isolation ward of NBMCH outside GTA area, 29 in GTA area and 6 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 2 in Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 58 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.
