37 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 10 in Kalimpong, 1 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Pulbazar. Of the plains they are- 2 in Naxalbari, 4 in Matigara, tested positive. 

6 in Malda, 6 in Alipurduar, 6 in Coochbehar, 12 in Jalpaiguri and tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 20 December 2020: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals in the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:- 

2 Death: 

Sahadev Tamang, 42 yr old of Line Dhura Springside TE Darjeeling died in Desun Covid Hospital

Sapan Pal, 70 yr old of Subhaspalli  SIliguri died in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital.

24 in SMC:

24 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (17 in Darjeeling and 7 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

25 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 25 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district, 17 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 2 is from the Darjeeling hills - 1 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Pulbazar. Of the plains they are- 2 in Naxalbari, 4 in Matigara, tested positive. 

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 80 new cases,17313 confirmed cases of which 16578 have recovered and 195 died while 540 are active cases.

10 in Kalimpong:

10 new cases, 13 release from Kalimpong is reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 20 new cases, 2086 confirmed cases of which 2007 have recovered, 23 died and 56 are active cases.

6 in Malda:  

6 new cases reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 45 new cases, 12278 confirmed cases of which 11809 have recovered and 109 died and 360 are active cases.

6 in Alipurduar:

6 new cases, 15 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 17 new cases, 7569 confirmed cases of which 7442 have recovered and 85 died while 62 are active cases.

6 in Coochbehar: 

6 new cases, 15 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 29 new cases, 11454 confirmed cases of which 11010 have recovered, 68 died and 376 are active cases.

12 in Jalpaiguri: 

1 death, 12 new cases reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 51 new cases, 13990 confirmed cases of which 154 died while 13376 have recovered and 460 are active cases.

37 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 37 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital, Nivedita Nursing Home, Tribeni Covid Hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today. 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours 5 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 1 patient admitted in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, 2 in Surgical isolation ward  and 2 patients in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, and no patient in Isolation ward -1.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 19 Covid-19 patients are admitted,  during the last 24 hours 7 patients are newly admitted and 2 are released.

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 25 Covid-19 patients are admitted and no patients are newly admitted, 1 released.

Today’s daily state bulletin regarding the report of the last 24 hrs stated that Darjeeling district records 80 new cases,17313 confirmed cases of which 16578 have recovered and 195 died while 540 are active cases.
