27 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 9 in Kalimpong, 1 in Darjeeling Municipality, 1 in Pulbazar,. Of the plains they are- 2 in Sukuna, 1 in Khoribari,  1 in Phansidewa, 3 in Naxalbari, 2 in Matigara tested positive. 

8 in Malda, 8 in Alipurduar, 8 in Coochbehar, 42 in Jalpaiguri and tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 26 December 2020: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals in the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:- 

1 Death: 

Ashis Thapa, 35 yr old of Singbuli TE Mirik died in Dr Chhang’s Covid SS Hospital.

18 in SMC:

18 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (9 in Darjeeling and 9 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

20 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 20 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district, 9 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 2 is from the Darjeeling hills - 1 in Darjeeling Municipality, 1 in Pulbazar,. Of the plains they are- 2 in Sukuna, 1 in Khoribari,  1 in Phansidewa, 3 in Naxalbari, 2 in Matigara tested positive. 

1 in Kurseong Municipality, 3 in Takdah, 1 in Sukhiapokhari, 2 in Mirik. and tested positive. 

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 55 new cases,17593 confirmed cases of which 16907 have recovered and 197 died while 489 are active cases.

Similarly Kalimpong district records 9 new cases, 2133 confirmed cases of which 2061 have recovered, 23 died and 49 are active cases.

Alipurduar records 8 new cases, 7609 confirmed cases of which 7468 have recovered and 85 died while 56 are active cases.

Coochbehar records 27 new cases, 11598 confirmed cases of which 11158 have recovered, 71 died and 369 are active cases.

9 in Kalimpong:

9 new cases (4 admitted in Tribeni Covid hospital and rest in safe homes), 7 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 5 new cases, 2124 confirmed cases of which 2054 have recovered, 23 died and 47 are active cases.

8 in Malda:  

2 death, 8 new cases, 28 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 20 new cases, 12401 confirmed cases of which 11954 have recovered and 111 died and 336 are active cases.

8 in Alipurduar:

8 new cases, 6 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 8 new cases, 7601 confirmed cases of which 7462 have recovered and 85 died while 54 are active cases.

8 in Coochbehar: 

8 new cases, 9 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 25 new cases, 11571 confirmed cases of which 11137 have recovered, 70 died and 364 are active cases.

42 in Jalpaiguri: 

42 new cases, 43 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 42 new cases, 14192 confirmed cases of which 155 died while 13601 have recovered and 436 are active cases.

27 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 27 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital, Nivedita Nursing Home, Tribeni Covid Hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today. 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours 6 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 3 patients are admitted in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, 2 in Surgical isolation ward  and 1 in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, and no patients inIsolation ward -1.

1 of Tindharia and 1 of Algarah Kalimpong –total 2 of GTA area are admitted.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 14 Covid-19 patients are admitted, during the last 24 hours 1 patient newly admitted and 5 released.

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital- 1 of kalimpong- total 1 of GTA area is admitted. 

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 11 Covid-19 patients are admitted and 4 patients are newly admitted and 1 released.

1  of Rohini TE  -total 1 of GTA area admitted.

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES

The number of Covid-19 infected people in the district of Darjeeling are, 326 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 511 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 837.

There are 4 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital and one isolation ward of NBMCH outside GTA area, 16 in GTA area and 5 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, nil in Safe homes outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 25 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.
