1 death: 11 of Hills (4 of Kalimpong and 7 of Darjeeling),12 of SMC infected

21 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 4 in Kalimpong, 2 in Darjeeling Municipality, 1 in Kurseong Municipality, 3 in Pulbazar, 1 in Takdah tested positive. Of the plains they are- 3 in Matigara, 3 in Naxalbari, 1 in Phansidewa.

1 in Malda, 2 in Alipurduar, 7 in Coochbehar, 24 in Jalpaiguri and tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 29 December 2020: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals in the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:- 

1 Death: 

Aloka Nandi, 62 yr old of Gandhinagar Coochbehar died in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara.

29 in SMC:

29 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (18 in Darjeeling and 11 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

32 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 32 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district, 18 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 7 are from Darjeeling hills - 2 in Darjeeling Municipality, 1 in Kurseong Municipality, 3 in Pulbazar, 1 in Takdah tested positive. Of the plains they are- 3 in Matigara, 3 in Naxalbari, 1 in Phansidewa.

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 38 new cases,17740 confirmed cases of which 17041 have recovered and 197 died while 502 are active cases.

4 in Kalimpong:

4 new cases, 7 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 4 new cases, 2157 confirmed cases of which 2081 have recovered, 23 died and 53 are active cases.

2 in Alipurduar:

2 new cases, 7 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 12 new cases, 7631 confirmed cases of which 7489 have recovered and 85 died while 57 are active cases.

20 in Coochbehar: 

20 new cases, 29 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 20 new cases, 11653 confirmed cases of which 11292 have recovered, 71 died and 290 are active cases.

33 in Jalpaiguri: 

33 new cases, 28 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 33 new cases, 14314 confirmed cases of which 155 died while 13736 have recovered and 423 are active cases.

1 in Malda:  

1 new cases, 29 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 12 new cases, 12450 confirmed cases of which 12034 have recovered and 111 died and 305 are active cases.

21 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 21 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital, Nivedita Nursing Home, Tribeni Covid Hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today. 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours 5 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 4 patients are admitted in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, 1 in Surgical isolation ward and nil in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, and no patients inIsolation ward -1.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 16 Covid-19 patients (8 are in ICU) are admitted, during the last 24 hours 5 patients newly admitted and 2 released. 

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 21 Covid-19 patients are admitted and nil patients are newly admitted and nil released.

COVID PATIENTS IN THE SIX DISTRICTS OUT OF 8 DISTRICTS OF NORTH BENGAL

Today’s daily state bulletin regarding the report of the last 24 hrs and from the beginning till today stated that Darjeeling district records 38 new cases,17740 confirmed cases of which 17041 have recovered and 197 died while 502 are active cases.
