7 death (5 of Siliguri); 21 of Hills (12 of Kalimpong and 9 of Darjeeling), 37 of SMC infected, 83 Active cases in GTA

95 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 12 in Kalimpong, 2 in Darjeeling Municipality, 3 in Kurseong Municipality, 2 in Pulbazar, 1 in Sukhiapokhari and 1 in Takdah. Of the plains they are- 3 in Sukuna, 9 in Khoribari,  11 in Matigara, 5 in Naxalbari, and 1 in Phansidewa tested positive. 50 in Alipurduar, 61 in Coochbehar, 86 in Jalpaiguri, 64 in Malda tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 8 November 2020: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals within the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:-  

7 Death: 7 death reported during the last 24 hours in the designated Covid hospitals and nursing homes of Darjeeling district.

Basanti Das, 29 yr old of Sitalapara Jalpaimore Ward no 31 ;

Samsul Haque Saha, 65 yr old of Hemkumari Haldibari Coochbehar ;

Deepak Chakraborty, 52yr old of Sukantanagar Ward no 38 died in Desun Covid Hospital.

Rina devi SIngha, 28 yr old of Ganganagar Siliguri;

Raju Chhetri, 55 yr old of Sukuna died in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital.

Uma Khatiwara, 71 yr old of Upper Bagdogra died in RICU ward of NBMCH.

Akhil Chandra Das, 74 yr old of Devanhat Coochbehar died in in a Nursing Home at Sevoke Road.

37 of SMC:

37 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (26 of Darjeeling and 11 of Jalpaiguri district) tested positive. 

64 in Darjeeling district:

Of the  64 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district 26 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 17 are from the Darjeeling hills and they are- 2 in Darjeeling Municipality, 3 in Kurseong Municipality, 2 in Pulbazar, 1 in Sukhiapokhari and 1 in Takdah. Of the plains they are- 3 in Sukuna, 9 in Khoribari,  11 in Matigara, 5 in Naxalbari, and  1 in Phansidewa tested positive. 

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 124 new cases, 12573 confirmed cases of which 11245 have recovered and 149 died while 1179 are active cases. 

12 in Kalimpong:

12 new cases, 12 release from Kalimpong is reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 12 new cases, 1525 confirmed cases of which 1432 have recovered, 17 died and 76 are active cases.

64 in Malda:  64 new cases reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda with 63 new cases, 10406 confirmed cases of which 9492 have recovered and 89 died and 865 are active cases.

50 in Alipurduar:

50 new cases, 79 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 26 new cases, 6653 confirmed cases of which 6360 have recovered and 78 died while 215 are active cases.

61 in Coochbehar: 

61 new cases with 47 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 81 new cases, 9295 confirmed cases of which 8361 have recovered, 55 died and 879 are active cases.

86 in Jalpaiguri: 

86 new cases, 66 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 86 new cases,  9861 confirmed cases of which 96 died while 8878 have recovered and 887 are active cases.

95 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 95 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today. 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours 23 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 8 patients in Surgical isolation ward, and 11 in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, 4 patient in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward and no patient in Isolation ward -1 are admitted.

1 of Kurseong admitted.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital:

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 78 Covid-19 patients are admitted while 16 are in ICU, while during the last 24 hours 18 patients are newly admitted and 7 are released.

At Dr.Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital- 1 each of   Bhotay Busty Darjeeling, Mahanadi, Makaibari, Methibari Sukuna, Dudhia, St. Mary’s Hill, Dowhill, Kharey Kurseong, Marybong TG, Naya Bazar, 2 of Kurseong,  Chhota Kagjhora, North Point Darjeeling, Lava Suntalay and Teesta Bazar, GTA area are admitted.

DESUN Covid Hospital: In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 87 Covid-19 patients are admitted and 9 patients are newly admitted, 8 are released.

1 each of Subedar Busty Kurseong, Sukuna, Darjeeling and 10^th Mile Kalimpong, Gumbahatta, Relli Road, Sinji Busty Kalimpong of GTA area are admitted.

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES

The number of Covid-19 infected people in the district of Darjeeling are, 648 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 647 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1295.

There are 20 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital outside GTA area, 39 in GTA area and 21 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 3 in Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 83 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.
