5 death; 24 of Hills (23 of Kalimpong and 1 of Darjeeling), 46 of SMC infected, 74 Active cases in GTA

53 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 23 in Kalimpong, 1 in Darjeeling Municipality. Of the plains they are- 3 in Sukuna, 1 in Khoribari,  23 in Matigara, 17 in Naxalbari, and  12 in Phansidewa tested positive. 49 in Alipurduar, 71 in Coochbehar, 131 in Jalpaiguri, 49 in Malda tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 10 November 2020: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals within the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:- 

5 Death: 5 death reported during the last 24 hours in the designated Covid hospitals and nursing homes of Darjeeling district.

Sunita Chhetri, 57 yr old of Hakimpara Siliguri admitted on 6 November and:

J B Chhetri, 77 yr old of Dowhill Kurseong admitted on 3 November died in in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital.

Bidhan Saha, 57 yr old of 1 no. Dabgram admitted on 9 November died in RICU ward of NBMCH.

2 also died in Desun Covid Hospital.

46 of SMC:

46 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (34 of Darjeeling and 12 of Jalpaiguri district) tested positive. 

91 in Darjeeling district:

Of the  91 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district 34 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 1is from the Darjeeling hills and they are- 1 in Darjeeling Municipality. Of the plains they are- 3 in Sukuna, 1 in Khoribari,  23 in Matigara, 17 in Naxalbari, and  12 in Phansidewa tested positive. 

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 115 new cases, 12829 confirmed cases of which 11580 have recovered and 152 died while 1097 are active cases.

23 in Kalimpong:

23 new cases, 8 release from Kalimpong is reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 23 new cases, 1556 confirmed cases of which 1464 have recovered, 17 died and 75 are active cases.

49 in Malda:  49 new case, 85 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 49 new cases, 10484 confirmed cases of which 9688 have recovered and 89 died and 707 are active cases.

49 in Alipurduar:

49 new cases, 65 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 49 new cases, 6735 confirmed cases of which 6473 have recovered and 78 died while 184 are active cases.

71 in Coochbehar: 

71 new cases with 112 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records  106 new cases, 9510 confirmed cases of which 8628 have recovered, 56 died and 826 are active cases. 

131 in Jalpaiguri: 

4 death, 131 new cases, 134 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 134 new cases, 10126 confirmed cases of which 102 died while 9201 have recovered and 823 are active cases.

53 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 53 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today. 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours 19 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 10 patients in Surgical isolation ward, and 9 in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, no patient in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward and patient in Isolation ward -1 are admitted.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 75 Covid-19 patients are admitted while 11 are in ICU, while during the last 24 hours 3 patients are newly admitted and 12 are released.

At Dr.Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital- 1 each of Bhotay Busty Darjeeling, Tamsang, Dudhia, Kurseong,  Marybong TG, Naya Bazar, Dowhill, Chhota Kagjhora Darjeeling, 2 of  Mahanadi, 2 of  St. Mary’s Hill, Upper Bong Busty Kalimpong, Lava Suntalay and Teesta Bazar, GTA area are admitted.

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 82 Covid-19 patients are admitted and 8 patients are newly admitted, 2 are released.

1 each of Subedar Busty Kurseong, Sukuna, Darjeeling, Dambargram Salbari and 10^th Mile Kalimpong, Gumbahatta, Relli Road, Sinji Busty Kalimpong of GTA area are admitted.

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES

The number of Covid-19 infected people in the district of Darjeeling are, 648 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 651 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1299.

There are 23 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital outside GTA area, 30 in GTA area and 14 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 7 in Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 74 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.
