3 death, 27 of Hills (12 of Kalimpong and 15 of Darjeeling), 92 of SMC infected, 61 Active cases in GTA

70 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 7 in Kalimpong, - 4 in Darjeeling Municipality, 2 in Kurseong Municipality, 3 in Pulbazar, 5 in Mirik and 1 in Takdah. Of the plains they are- 5 in Sukuna, 6 in Khoribari,  29 in Matigara, 18 in Naxalbari, and 10 in Phansidewa tested positive. 31 in Alipurduar, 110 in Coochbehar, 127 in Jalpaiguri, 56 in Malda tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 2 November 2020: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals within the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:- 

3 Death: 3 death reported during the last 24 hours in the designated Covid hospitals and nursing homes of Darjeeling district.

Kavita Gurung, 75 yr old of Agamsing nagar in Pradhan nagar ;  

Rijen Tamang, 92 yr old of Balason Sonada died in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital.

Dandasi Pradhan, 77 yr old of Harey Krishna palli Lower Bagdogra died in Desun Covid Hospital.

 

92 of SMC:

92 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (52 in Darjeeling and 40 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

 

135 in Darjeeling district:

Of the  tested positive cases of Darjeeling district 31 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 15 are from the Darjeeling hills and they are- 4 in Darjeeling Municipality, 2 in Kurseong Municipality, 3 in Pulbazar, 5 in Mirik and 1 in Takdah. Of the plains they are- 5 in Sukuna, 6 in Khoribari,  29 in Matigara, 18 in Naxalbari, and 10 in Phansidewa tested positive. 

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district with 155 new cases has 11733 confirmed cases of which 10203 have recovered and 141 died while 1429 are active cases. 

12 in Kalimpong: 

12 new cases, 19 release from Kalimpong is reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district with 12 new cases has 1453 confirmed cases of which 1341 have recovered, 15 died and 97 are active cases. 

56 in Malda: 

56 new cases reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda with 56 new cases has 9917 confirmed cases of which 8795 have recovered and 86 died and 1036 are active cases.

31 in Alipurduar:

31 new cases, 47 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar with 12 new cases has 6452 confirmed cases of which 6078 have recovered and 76 died while 298 are active cases. 

110 in Coochbehar: 

110 new cases with 51 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last Coochbehar with 110 new cases has 8754 confirmed cases of which 7740 have recovered, 54 died and 960 are active cases. 

 

127 in Jalpaiguri: 

1 died, 127 new cases, 151 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri with 127 new cases has 9277 confirmed cases of which 88 died while 8169 have recovered and 1020 are active cases. 

 

70 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 70 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today. 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours 16 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 3 patients in Surgical isolation ward, and 9 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward, 4 patient in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward and no patient in Isolation ward -1 are admitted.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 2 Covid-19 patients are admitted while 17 are in ICU, while during the last 24 hours 9 patients are newly admitted and 13 are released.

At Dr.Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital- 1 each of  Singel TE, Bhotay Busty Darjeeling, Ging, Ava Art Gallery, 1 of Ujjaray Busty Kurseong, Mahanadi Bazar Kurseong, Borbong Kurseong, Makaibari, Mungpoo, Tamsang Khasmahal, and Jholung GTA area are admitted.

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 62 Covid-19 patients are admitted and 9 patients are newly admitted, 12 are released.

1 each Pankhabari, MV Road Fatak Danra Kurseong, and Paren Jaldhaka, Sindebong Kalimpong of GTA area are admitted.

The number of Covid-19 infected people in the district of Darjeeling are, 628 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 634 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1262.There are 15 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital outside GTA area, 27 in GTA area and 18 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 1 in Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 61 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.
