2 death; 19 of Hills (11 of Kalimpong and 8 of Darjeeling), 73 of SMC, 57 of GTA area infected

109 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 11 in Kalimpong, 1 in Darjeeling Municipality, 2 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 Sukhiapokhari, 2 in Pulbazar, 1 in Mirik and 1 in Takdah. Of the plains they are- 4 in Sukuna, 3 in Khoribari, 26 in Matigara, 7 in Naxalbari, and 2 in Phansidewa tested positive. 22 in Alipurduar, 48 in Coochbehar, 85 in Jalpaiguri and 58 in Malda tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 21 November 2020: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals within the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:- 

2 Death: 2 death reported during the last 24 hours in the designated Covid hospitals and nursing homes of Darjeeling district. They are-

Rabin kr Gazmer, 63 yr old of Champasari died in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital.

Ram Chandra Jaiswal, 68yr old of 2^nd Mile Sevoke Road died in Desun Covid Hospital.

73 of SMC:

73 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (49 in Darjeeling and 24 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

96 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 96 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district 49 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 8 are from the Darjeeling hills and they are- 1 in Darjeeling Municipality, 2 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 Sukhiapokhari, 2 in Pulbazar, 1 in Mirik and 1 in Takdah. Of the plains they are- 4 in Sukuna, 3 in Khoribari, 26 in Matigara, 7 in Naxalbari, and 2 in Phansidewa tested positive.

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 119 new cases, 14363 confirmed cases of which 13408 have recovered and 169 died while 786 are active cases.

11 in Kalimpong:

11 new cases, 16 release from Kalimpong is reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 11 new cases, 1688 confirmed cases of which 1625 have recovered, 19 died and 44 are active cases.

39 in Malda: 

39 new case, 49 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 30 new cases, 11088 confirmed cases of which 10679 have recovered and 95 died and 314 are active cases.

22 in Alipurduar:

22 new cases, 34 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 24 new cases, 7046 confirmed cases of which 6854 have recovered and 80 died while 112 are active cases.

48 in Coochbehar: 48 new cases, 51 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 54 new cases, 10202 confirmed cases of which 9868 have recovered, 58 died and 276 are active cases.

85 in Jalpaiguri: 

2 death, 85 new cases 137 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 103 new cases, 11567 confirmed cases of which 120 died while 10735 have recovered and 712 are active cases.

109 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 109 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital, Nivedita Nursing Home, Tribeni Covid Hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today. 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours 26 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 11 patients in Surgical isolation ward, and 14 in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, 1 patient in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward and no patient in Isolation ward -1 are admitted.

1 each of Lopchu T.G., Redhead TG Ghoom, Pipri para Rangli Rangliot and Pubung Kalimpong and Dalapchand Kalimpong –total 3 of GTA area are admitted.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s  SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 65 Covid-19 patients are admitted while 22 are in ICU, while during the last 24 hours 12 patients are newly admitted and 10 are released.

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital- 1 each of  Marybong TG, Kurseong, Lower Dumaram, PV Road Kurseong, Ghayabari Kurseong, Mirik Busty, Bijanbari, Reshab Dhura Rangli, 2 each of Phuguri Mirik, Jowahar Busty Toongsoong Darjeeling, Kagjhora Darjeeling and Upper Pradhan gaon Kalimpong, and Bong Busty Kalimpong, ICICI Bank Kalimpong GTA area (16) are admitted.

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 82 Covid-19 patients are admitted and 21 patients are newly admitted, 3 are released.

1 each of Sibitar T.E Kurseong, Singel T.E, Makaibari,  Simulbari TE, Bijanbari and Sonada of GTA area (6) are admitted.

1 of Mirik, 1of Nipani Bhanugram GTA admitted.

1 from Mirik and 1 of Shantigram Kurseong admitted.

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES

The number of Covid-19 infected people in the district of Darjeeling are, 534 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 598 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1132.

There are 27 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital and one isolation ward of NBMCH outside GTA area, 20 in GTA area and 6 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 4 in Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 57 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.
