1 death; 21 of Hills (16 of Kalimpong and 5 of Darjeeling), 81 of SMC, 61 of GTA area infected

35 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 14 in Kalimpong, 1 in Darjeeling Municipality, 1 in Kurseong Municipality, 3 in Mirik and. Of the plains they are- 7 in Sukuna, 3 in Khoribari, 14 in Matigara, 8 in Naxalbari, and 6 in Phansidewa tested positive.  12 in Alipurduar, 35 in Coochbehar, 78 in Jalpaiguri and 40 in Malda tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 25 November 2020: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals within the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:- 

1 Death: 

1 death reported during the last 24 hours in the designated Covid hospitals and nursing homes of Darjeeling district.

Raman SIngh, 32 yr old of Talma Jalpaiguri died in a Nursing Home (was injured due to an accident on ) at Sevoke Road

81 of SMC:

1 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (59 in Darjeeling and 22 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive.

102 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 102 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district 59 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 5 are from the Darjeeling hills and they are- 1 in Darjeeling Municipality, 1 in Kurseong Municipality, 3 in Mirik and. Of the plains they are- 7 in Sukuna, 3 in Khoribari, 14 in Matigara, 8 in Naxalbari, and 6 in Phansidewa tested positive.

16 in Kalimpong:

16 new cases, 6 released from Kalimpong is reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours

40 in Malda: 

40 new cases reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 26 new cases, 11238 confirmed cases of which 10859 have recovered and 95 died and 284 are active cases.

 

12 in Alipurduar:

12 new cases reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 13 new cases, 7131confirmed cases of which 6965 have recovered and 81 died while 85 are active cases.

35 in Coochbehar: 

35 new cases reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 40 new cases, 10403 confirmed cases of which 10049 have recovered, 61 died and 293 are active cases.

78 in Jalpaiguri: 

1 death, 78 new cases reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 78 new cases, 11980 confirmed cases of which 127 died while 11241 have recovered and 612 are active cases.

35 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 61 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital, Nivedita Nursing Home, Tribeni Covid Hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today. 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours 25 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 8 patients in Surgical isolation ward, and 13 in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, 4 patient in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward and no patient in Isolation ward -1 are admitted.

1 each of Lopchu T.G., Rangli Rangliot, Lowis Jubilee Darjeeling, Pubung Kalimpong and Dalapchand Kalimpong –total 5 of GTA area are admitted.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s  SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 67 Covid-19 patients are admitted while 20 are in ICU, while during the last 24 hours 5 patients are newly admitted and 4 are released.

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital- 1 each of  Marybong TE, Nayabazar Kurseong, Kurseong, Methibari, Chhota Kagjhora, Pratap gaon, Krishna Nagar and Upper Pradhan gaon Kalimpong, and Bong Busty Kalimpong, ICICI Bank Kalimpong GTA area (10) are admitted.

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 91 (out of 100 bed) Covid-19 patients are admitted and 8 patients are newly admitted, 8 is released.

1 each of MV Road Kurseong, Sonada, Makaibari, Sibitar TE, Sepoydhura, Upper Doomaram, Simal TE of GTA area (7) are admitted.

1 each of Mirik, Neepani Belgachia, Nepani Bhanugram Darjeeling  GTA admitted.

1 from Mirik and 1 of Neepani Belgachia,admitted.

5 patients of Darjeeling and 11 from Kalimpong are admitted, 4 released and 1 referred out in this hospital.

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES

The number of Covid-19 infected people in the district of Darjeeling are, 613 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 588 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1201.

There are 22 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital and one isolation ward of NBMCH outside GTA area, 16 in GTA area and 18 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 5 in Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 61active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.

Today’s daily state bulletin regarding the report of the last 24 hrs stated that Darjeeling district records 150 new cases, 14832 confirmed cases of which 13895 have recovered and 176 died while 761are active cases.

Similarly Kalimpong district records 18 new cases, 1732 confirmed cases of which 1657 have recovered, 20 died and 55 are active cases.

Alipurduar records 13 new cases, 7131confirmed cases of which 6965 have recovered and 81 died while 85 are active cases.

Coochbehar records 40 new cases, 10403 confirmed cases of which 10049 have recovered, 61 died and 293 are active cases.

Jalpaiguri records 78 new cases, 11980 confirmed cases of which 127 died while 11241 have recovered and 612 are active cases.

Malda records 26 new cases, 11238 confirmed cases of which 10859 have recovered and 95 died and 284 are active cases.
