3 deaths , 23 of Hills, 81 of SMC infected

2 of Siliguri, 1 of Jaigaon died, 62 recovered from Covid-19,  Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 145 of Darjeeling district, 5 in Darjeeling, 8 in Kurseong, 1 in Pulbazar,  3 in Takdah and 6 in Mirik.. Of the plains they are- 16 in Sukuna, 17 in Matigara, 10 in Naxalbari, 2 in Phansidewa and 13 in Khoribari, 63 in Alipurduar, 72 in Jalpaiguri, 112 in Coochbehar, 145 in Malda tested positive.

3 Death: 3 deaths reported during the last 24 hours in Covid hospitals of Darjeeling district.

Thal kumar Limbu 64 yr old of  Pabitranagar Champasari Ward no. 46,

Animesh Sarkar, 83 yr old of Subashpalli Ward no.16 died in Desun Covid hospital.

Gokul Darjee 50 yr old of Jaigaon died in a nursing home.

81 of SMC:

81 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (64 in Darjeeling and 17 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 12 of Desun Covid hospital tested positive.

145 of Darjeeling district:

Of the 145 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district 64 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 23 are from the Darjeeling hills and they are - 5 in Darjeeling Municipality, 8 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Pulbazar,  3 in Takdah and 6 in Mirik.. Of the plains they are- 16 in Sukuna, 17 in Matigara, 10 in Naxalbari, 2 in Phansidewa and 13 in Khoribari, tested positive. 

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district with 87 new cases has 8834 confirmed cases of which 7899 have recovered and 118 died while 817 are active cases. 

Nil of Kalimpong: 

No new case from Kalimpong reported, State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district with 23 new cases has 1143 confirmed cases of which 979 have recovered, 8 died and 156 are active cases. 

145 of Malda: 

145 new cases, 68 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda with 113 new cases has 7698 confirmed cases of which 6849 have recovered and 58 died and 791 are active cases.

63 of Alipurduar:

63 new cases, 65 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar with 63 new cases has 5339 confirmed cases of which 4704 have recovered and 66 died while 569 are active cases. 

112 of Coochbehar: 

1 died, 112 new cases with 102 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar with 85 new cases has 6683 confirmed cases of which 5857 have recovered, 44 died and 782 are active cases. 

72 of Jalpaiguri: 

72 new cases 68 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri with 72 new cases has 6853 confirmed cases of which 65 died while 6070 have recovered and 718 are active cases. 

62 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 62 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and other from Safe homes were discharged today. 

NBMCH

21 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 5 patients in Surgical isolation ward, and 12 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward, 4 patients in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward and no patient in Isolation ward -1 are admitted.

1 of Kumai and 1 of Samabeong TE Lava are admitted.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

In Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 116 Covid-19 patients are admitted (Only 4 seats vacant). At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital- 1 each of Naya Bazar Kurseong,  Saureni Mirik, Kurseong, Mirik, Badamtam TE, Som TE, GCP Kurseong, Gidha Chandra Busty, Kurseong Hospital, and 1 each of Sadhudhara, Tripai, East Main Road, Kalimpong,  and Munsong and 2 of Kalimpong of GTA area are admitted. 3 of Mirik,

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 83 Covid-19 patients are admitted and 16 patients are newly admitted and 14 released.

1 each of Montiviot Road Kurseong and 9^th Mile Kalimpong of GTA area are admitted. 

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

55 patients are admitted of which 13 are in ICU and are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital. Of these 32 are Covid patients. 7 patients are released. 25 patients are being treated in its Safe home.

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES

The number of Covid-19 infected people in the district of Darjeeling are, 1046 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 646 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1692.

There are 17 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital outside GTA area, 26 in GTA area and 35 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 1 in Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 79 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.
