81 recovered from Covid-19,  81 active cases in GTA, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 14 in Kalimpong, 2 in Darjeeling Municipality, 7 in Kurseong Municipality, 6 in Sukhiapokhari, 1 in Pulbazar, 1 in Mirik, 4 in Takdah. Of the plains they are- 15 in Sukuna, 7 in Khoribari,  18 in Matigara, 19 in Naxalbari, and 6 in Phansidewa tested positive. 24 in Alipurduar, 65 in Coochbehar, 56 in Jalpaiguri, 87 in Malda tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 31 October 2020: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals within the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:- 

3 Death: 3 death reported during the last 24 hours in the designated Covid hospitals and nursing homes of Darjeeling district.

Sunit Kr Pal, 70 yr old of Ramkrishnapalli Matigara and

Md Rubail, 20  yr old of Bakshigunj Haldibari Coochbehar died in Desun Covid Hospital

Pradip Das, 52 yr old of Subhaspalli died in a Nursing Home at Pradhan Nagar

68 of SMC:

68 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (42 in Darjeeling and 26 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

131 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 131 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district 42 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 21 are from the Darjeeling hills and they are- 2 in Darjeeling Municipality, 7 in Kurseong Municipality, 6 in Sukhiapokhari, 1 in Pulbazar, 1 in Mirik, 4 in Takdah. Of the plains they are- 15 in Sukuna, 7 in Khoribari,  18 in Matigara, 19 in Naxalbari, and 6 in Phansidewa tested positive. 

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district with 116 new cases has 11485 confirmed cases of which 9930 have recovered and 140 died while 1415 are active cases. 

14 in Kalimpong: 

14 new cases from Kalimpong reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district with 14 new cases has 1434 confirmed cases of which 1309 have recovered, 15 died and 110 are active cases. 

87 in Malda: 

87 new cases reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda with 96 new cases has 9798 confirmed cases of which 8654 have recovered and 83 died and 1061 are active cases.

24 in Alipurduar:

24 new cases, 64 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar with 52 new cases has 6409 confirmed cases of which 5980 have recovered and 76 died while 353 are active cases. 

65 in Coochbehar: 

65 new cases with 94 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 Coochbehar with 73 new cases has 8570 confirmed cases of which 7560 have recovered, 51 died and 959 are active cases. 

56 in Jalpaiguri: 

56 new cases reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri with 71 new cases has 9055 confirmed cases of which 87 died while 7910 have recovered and 1058 are active cases. 

 

81 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 81 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today. 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours 12 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 2 patients in Surgical isolation ward, and 8 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward, 2 patient in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward and no patient in Isolation ward -1 are admitted.1 of Kurseong admitted.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 46 Covid-19 patients are admitted of them 11 are in ICU, while during the last 24 hours 19 patients are newly admitted and 2 are released.

At Dr.Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital- 1 each of  Singel TE, Holy Cross, Bhotay Busty Darjeeling, Ging, Ava Art Gallery, Balason, Mahanadi, Borbing, Makaibari, Mungpoo, and 1 of Ujjaray Busty Kalimpong, and Jholung GTA area are admitted.

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 65 Covid-19 patients are admitted and 19 patients are newly admitted 2 are released.

1 each Pankhabari, Burbong Busty, MV Road, Fatak Danra, Kurseong, and Paren Jaldhaka, Sindebong Kalimpong of GTA area are admitted.

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES

The number of Covid-19 infected people in the district of Darjeeling are, 628 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 637 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1265.

There are 18 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital outside GTA area, 33 in GTA area and 29 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 1 in Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 81 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.
