2 die, 14 in hills, 53 in SMC 90 in Darjeeling district tests positive

65 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 4 in Kalimpong, 1 in Darjeeling, 3 in Kurseong, 3 in Sukhiapokhari, 2 in Mirik, 1 in Pulbazar, of the plains they are- 1 in Sukuna, 27 in Matigara, 14 in Naxalbari, 4 in Phansidewa and 7 in Khoribari,  81 in Coochbehar, 26 in Alipurduar, 74 in Jalpaiguri, 101 in Malda tested positive.

2 Death:

2 death reported during the last 24 hours in a nursing home of Pradhan Nagar.

Arun Kumar Chhetri , 72 yr old of Giddheypahar in Kurseong  and Kamal Kanti Majumdar, 73 yr old of Islampur died in a nursing home.

53 of SMC:

53 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation tested positive. They are 11 of Ward no. 39; 7 of Ward no.  46; 5 of Ward no.2;  3 of Ward nos.6, 10, 2 of Ward nos. 19, 41; 1 of Ward nos.1, 9, 14, 17, 21, 22, 23, 27, 31, 35, 38, 42, 43.

90 of Darjeeling district:

Of the 90 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district 10 are from the Darjeeling hills and they are -1 in Darjeeling Municipality (Above Kutchery), 3 in Kurseong Municipality (Brahmakumari, MV Road, SB Dey Sanitorium quarter), 3 in Sukhiapokhari (Ging, Sonada), 2 in Mirik (Chhota Tingling), 1 in Pulbazar (Kaizalia), of the plains they are- 1 in Sukuna (Dowhill Glenhill), 27 in Matigara, 14 in Naxalbari, 4 in Phansidewa and 7 in Khoribari, tested positive. 

Departments bulletin states that Darjeeling district with 84 new cases has 7968 confirmed cases of which 7210 have recovered and 110 died while 657 are active cases. 

4 in Kalimpong: 

4 new cases reported, Departments bulletin states Kalimpong district with 16 new cases has 991 confirmed cases of which 830 have recovered, 7 died and 154 are active cases. 

101 of Malda: 

101 new cases, 91 release reported today from Malda. Departments bulletin states Malda with 95 new cases has 6856 confirmed cases of which 6303 have recovered and 56 died and 497 are active cases. 

26 of Alipurduar:  

26 new cases, 68 released reported. Departments bulletin states Alipurduar with 70 new cases has 4705 confirmed cases of which 4177 have recovered and 53 died while 475 are active cases. 

81 of Coochbehar:  

81 new cases with 77 release reported. Departments bulletin states Coochbehar with 80 new cases has 5854 confirmed cases of which 5136 have recovered, 39 died and 679 are active cases. 

74 of Jalpaiguri:  

74 new cases with 80 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. Departments bulletin states Jalpaiguri with 74 new cases has 6102 confirmed cases of which 59 died while 5541 have recovered and 502 are active cases. 

65 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 65 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and other from Safe homes were discharged today.

NBMCH

11 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 4 patients in Surgical isolation ward, and 6 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward and 1 patient in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward are admitted.

1 physician of physiology department and another of ENT department of NBMCH tested positive and admitted at DESUN Covid Hospital.

1 of Kalimpong and 1 of Chhota Suruk Kalimpong admitted.

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 1 each of, Sonada, Simulbari, Silban Garidhura, Bloomfield, Naya Bazar, Mahldiram, Krishnanagar Mirik, Rongchong Lohapul, Saureni Mirik, Dr. Z. Hussain Rd, Ghayabari, Batasia, Kurseong, Mirik, Rimbick Bazar, RN Sinha Road, Teesta Valley, Jalapahar and 1 each of Sadhudhara, and Samthar of GTA area are admitted.

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 64 Covid-19 patients are admitted, 15 are in ICU and 16 patients are newly admitted and 3 released

1 each ofLower Manju, Mungpoo, and 40 Dhura,  8th Mile Kalimpong of GTA area are admitted. 

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

48 patients are admitted of which 13 are in ICU and are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital. Of these 32 are Covid patients. 5 patients are released.

The number of people in the district of Darjeeling are, 1054 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 632 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1686.

There are 25 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital outside GTA area, 27 in GTA area and 31 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 2 in 2 Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 85 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.
