Shanta Chhetri MP tested positive, 2 of Darjeeling, 1 each of Oodlabari and Coochbehar died of Covid-19

67 recovered, 80 in Darjeeling dist tested positive, Death-4, Positive cases-  47 in SMC –6 in Darjeeling, 3 in Kurseong, 28 in Sukuna, 3 in Matigara, 10 in Naxalbari, 1 in Khoribari, 99 in Coochbehar, 83 in Alipurduar, 86 in Jalpaiguri, 46 in Malda tested positive. .

4 Death:

Djanmaya Devi, 81 yr old of Batasey, Manmaya Limbu, 45 yr old of Lodhoma and Sachindranath Burman, 65 yr old of Kotwali Thana Coochbehar died in Dr Chhang Covid hospial;

Rajesh Gupta, 51 yr old of Oodlabari bazar died in Anandaloke Nursing Home.

47 of SMC:

47 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (29 of Darjeeling and 18 from Jalpaiguri district) tested positive during the last 24 hrs. They are: 8 of Ward no. 16; 3 of Ward nos. 10, 13, Shantinagar ; 2 of Ward nos. 23, 24, 35, 37, 41, 43;  1 of Ward nos.1, 2, 5, 8, 14, 21, 25, 27, 28, 32, 33, 38, 39 and others tested positive.

80 of Darjeeling district:

Of the 80 positive cases of Darjeeling district 29 are from Darjeeling district of SMC while 51 cases are reported from different areas of the district during the last 24 hrs. They are 6 of Darjeeling Municipality (SIngmari, Pine block), 3 of Kurseong Municipality, 28 of Sukuna, 3 of Matigara, 10 of Naxalbari, and 1 of Khoribari. Rajya Sabha MP Shanta Chhetri also tested Covid-19 positive.

Darjeeling district has 6230 confirmed cases of which 5446 have recovered and 92 died while 692 are active cases. 

46 of Malda: 46 new cases reported today from Malda. Malda has 5585 confirmed cases of which 5127 have recovered and 49 died and 409 are active cases.

83 of Alipurduar: 83 new cases reported. Alipurduar has 3283 confirmed cases of which 2742 have recovered and 28 died while 513 are active cases. 

99 of Coochbehar: 2 dead, 99 new cases of Covid 19 infection.Coochbehar has 4279 confirmed cases of which 3663 have recovered, 20 died and 596 are active cases. 

86 of Jalpaiguri:  86 new cases reported from Jalpaiguri today. Jalpaiguri has 4726 confirmed cases of which 40 died while 4106 have recovered and 580 are active cases. 

67 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 67 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today.

 

NBMCH

8 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There 1 patients in Isolation ward-1, 2 patients in RICU ward and 5 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward are admitted. 

1 each of Pedong and of Bagdhara Kalimpong are admitted. 1 of Pedong referred.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 51 patients are admitted today in this hospital at Himanchal Vihar of which 9 is newly admitted while 11 are released.  

2 of Kurseong and 1 each of, Sukuna, Sonada, Simulbari, Takdah, Upper Putung, Lodhoma, and 1 each of Ongden Road, Thakurbari Kalimpong and Mongpong Outpost of GTA area are admitted. 2 released.

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 53 Covid-19 patients are admitted, 12 are in ICU and 7 patients are newly admitted and 12 released. 

1 each of Below Darjeeling College, Jorebunglow, Zakir Hussain Road, Lower Makaibari, Bloomfield and, and Monsong of GTA area are admitted. 1 of Thakurbari, Kalimpong released.

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

52 patients are admitted of which 11 are in ICU are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital. Of these 31 are Covid patients. 5 released.

The number of people in the district of Darjeeling are, 1003 in home quaramtine - in Kalimpong district 634 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1637

There are 17 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital outside GTA area, 21 in GTA area and 44 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 2 in 1 Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 84 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.

Number of Covid patients in the eight districts of North Bengal

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 6230 confirmed cases of which 5446 have recovered and 92 died while 692 are active cases. 

Similarly Kalimpong district has 637 confirmed cases of which 523 have recovered, 3 died and 111 are active cases. 

Alipurduar has 3283 confirmed cases of which 2742 have recovered and 28 died while 513 are active cases. 

Jalpaiguri has 4726 confirmed cases of which 40 died while 4106 have recovered and 580 are active cases. 

Coochbehar has 4279 confirmed cases of which 3663 have recovered, 20 died and 596 are active cases.
