Sambhu Saha, 53 year old of
Sobhagunj, Alipurduar, and Malati Das, 60 year old of Ward No. 12 Natunpara Dhupguri
died at Desun Hospital.
28 of SMC:
28 of Siliguri Municipality
Corporation (21 of Darjeeling and 7 from Jalpaiguri district) tested positive
during the last 24 hrs. They are: 3 of Ward no. 13; 2 of Ward nos. 14, 16, 29; 1 each
of Ward nos. 2, 6, 10, 17, 18, 23, 25, 27, 30, 34, 35, 36, 37, 41, 47, Dabgram
GP, Bankim Nagar, Khalpara, Ghughumali, Samarnagar and others tested positive.
71 of Darjeeling district:
Of the 71 positive cases of Darjeeling district 21 are from Darjeeling district
of SMC while 50 cases are reported from different areas of the district during
the last 24 hrs. They are 5 of Darjeeling MC, 11 of Pulbazar, 1 of Sukhiapokhari,
2 of Mirik, 4 of Takdah, 3 of Sukuna, 11 of Matigara, 10 of Naxalbari, and 3 of
Khoribari.
Darjeeling district has 5570
confirmed cases of which 4821 have recovered and 81 died while 668 are active
cases.
1 of Kalimpong: 1 new case reported from Kalimpong. Kalimpong
district has 534 confirmed cases of which 465 have recovered, 3 died and 66 are
active cases.
38 of Malda: 38 new cases reported
today from Malda. Malda has 5190 confirmed cases of which 4861 have recovered
and 39 died and 290 are active cases.
107 of Alipurduar: 1 died, 107 new cases reported. In the district
there 2759 confirmed cases of which 1979 recovered and 21 died while 759 are
active cases.
82 of Coochbehar: 82 new cases of Covid 19 infection. The complete
report of the district is 3699 confirmed cases of which 2816 have recovered, 14
died and 869 are active cases.
29 of Jalpaiguri: 1 died, 29 new cases reported from Jalpaiguri today. Jalpaiguri
has 4201 confirmed cases of which 37 died while 3437 have recovered and 727 are
active cases
64 Discharged:
After testing negative and
recovery 64 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and others from
Safe homes were discharged today.
NBMCH
18 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North
Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 3 patient in ID-1 and 1 in
Surgical Isolation, 3 patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU), and 11
in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward are admitted. 1 of Pedong admitted.
DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital
At Dr. Chhang’s Super
Speciality Covid hospital 81 patients are admitted today in this hospital at
Himanchal Vihar of which 19 are newly admitted while 10 are released.
3 of Kurseong, 1 of Lower Rose Bank, and 1 of Mirik and 1 of Jorebunglow, 1 of
Ganesh gram and 1 of Bijanbari and 1 of Kalimpong of GTA area are admitted. 2
are released.
DESUN Covid Hospital
In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 72 Covid-19 patients are admitted and 13
patients are newly admitted and 18 released.
1 of Naya Busty, 1 of
Takdah, 1 of Sonada, 4 of Kurseong and 3 of Darjeeling, and 1 of Kalimpong, of
GTA area are admitted, 2 released and 1 referred in this hospital. 2 died.
NIVEDITA Nursing Home
51 patients are admitted of which 13 are in ICU including a doctor of Bagdogra
and are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital. Of these 32 are
Covid patients. 7 released.A 74 yrs of Mal Bazar died.

The number of people in the district of Darjeeling are, 960 in home quaramtine - in Kalimpong district 678
in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1638.
There are 20 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital outside GTA area, 37 in GTA
area and 47 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 4 in 3 Safe home outside
GTA area, the tally of GTA being 108 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe
homes.
