3 Death:

Ramayan Prasad, 65 yrs, of Purnea Bihar and Krishna Gopal Das, 65 yrs, of Manja TE of Belgachhi of Naxalbari died in Desun Hospital ;  Subroto Adhikari, 21 yrs, of Islampur died in RICU ward of NBMCH.

40 of SMC:

40 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (29 of Darjeeling and 11 from Jalpaiguri district) tested positive during the last 24 hrs. They are: 4 of Ward no. 46; 3 of Ward nos.1, 14, 25, 35, 42; 2 of Ward nos.2, 13, 16, 22, 32, 47; 1 each of Ward nos. 3, 5, 8, 11, 23, 27, 33, 36, 38 and others tested positive.

83 of Darjeeling district:

Of the 83 positive cases of Darjeeling district 29 are from Darjeeling district of SMC while 54 cases are reported from different areas of the district during the last 24 hrs. They are 9 of Darjeeling Municipality (of Gandhi Road, Badamtam TE, Singmari, Mary Villa, Dr, Zakir Hussain Road), 2 of Sukhiapokhari (of Pubong, Rangbull), 1 of Pulbazar, 1 of Mirik, 2 of Sukuna, 10 of Matigara, 14 of Naxalbari, 12 of Phansidewa and 3 of Khoribari.   

Darjeeling district has 5828 confirmed cases of which 5068 have recovered and 84 died while 676 are active cases. As per the departmental bulletin, within 24 hours of yesterday 57 new cases were reported from the district.

2 of Kalimpong: 2 new cases reported from Kalimpong. Kalimpong district has 570 confirmed cases of which 494 have recovered, 3 died and 73 are active cases. As per the departmental bulletin, within 24 hours of yesterday 19 new cases were reported from the district.

60 of Malda: 60 new cases reported today from Malda. Malda has 5305 confirmed cases of which 4976 have recovered and 44 died and 285 are active cases.

46 of Alipurduar: 46 new cases reported. In the district there are 3010 confirmed cases of which 2347 have recovered and 26 died while 637 are active cases. 

83 of Coochbehar: 83 new cases of Covid 19 infection. The complete report of the district is 3954 confirmed cases, 3284 have recovered, 16 died and 654 are active cases. 

59 of Jalpaiguri: 59 new cases reported from Jalpaiguri today. Jalpaiguri has 4382 confirmed cases of which 37 died while 3739 have recovered and 606 are active cases. 

38 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 38 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today.

 

NBMCH

12 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There 1 patient in RICU ward 4 patient in Surgical Isolation, and 7 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward are admitted. 1 of Islampur died.

1 of Pedong and 1 of Bagdhara Kalimpong are admitted.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 65 patients are admitted today in this hospital at Himanchal Vihar of which 15 is newly admitted while 11 are released. 1 of Bijanbari died.

4 of Kurseong, 1 of Lower Rose Bank, and 1 of Gurung gaon and 1 of Jorebunglow, 1 of Ramgerung TE, 1 of Lhasa Villa, 1 of Malidhura Darjeeling  and 1 of Thakurbari Kalimpong and 1 of Mongpong Outpost of GTA area are admitted. 2 (1 of Ganesh gram and 1 of Kalimpong)  are released.

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 65 Covid-19 patients are admitted, 18 are in ICU and 4 patients are newly admitted and 15 released. 2 died

1 of Alubari Bhutia Busty Darjeeling, 1 of Takdah, 1 of Makaibari, 1 of North Point Bhotay Gaon Darjeeling, 1 of Below Darjeeling College, 1 of Sukuna, 1 of  Jorebunglow and 1 of Thakurbari, Kalimpong, and 1 of Monsong of GTA area are admitted, 2 are released.

 

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

54 patients are admitted of which 13 are in ICU are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital. Of these 36 are Covid patients. 5 released.

The number of people in the district of Darjeeling are, 1012 in home quaramtine - in Kalimpong district 656 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1668.

There are 21 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital outside GTA area, 37 in GTA area and 53 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 4 in 3 Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 115 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.
