3 Deaths:

Kamal Rai, 66 yr old of Darjeeling, B P Debnath 56 yr of Darjeeling and Renubala Pal, 65 yr of Fulbari Shantipara of Bhaktinagar died in Desun Covid Hospital.

32 of SMC:

32 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (24 of Darjeeling and 8 from Jalpaiguri district) tested positive during the last 24 hrs. They are: 3 of Ward nos. 13, 17 ; 2 of Ward no. 25, 37: 1 each of Ward nos .2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 14, 15, 19, 21, 23, 24, 27, 30, 31, 39, 43, 46, DBC Road, GNB Road, ITI Road, Milan Palli, Sahudangi , Shantinagar and others tested positive.

98 of Darjeeling district:

Of the 98 positive cases of Darjeeling district 24 are from Darjeeling district of SMC while 74 cases are reported from different areas of the district during the last 24 hrs. They are 5 of Darjeeling Municipality, 1 of Kurseong Municipality, 4 of Mirik, 4 of Sukhiapokhari, 14 of Pulbazar, 1 of Takdah, 17 of Sukuna, 10 of Matigara, 10 of Naxalbari, 1 of Phansidewa and 7 of Khoribari.   

Darjeeling district has 6113 confirmed cases of which 5328 have recovered and 91 died while 694 are active cases. As per the departmental bulletin, within 24 hours of yesterday 86 new cases were reported.. 

72 of Malda: 72 new cases reported today from Malda. Malda has 5514 confirmed cases of which 5085 have recovered and 47 died and 382 are active cases.

52 of Alipurduar: 52 new cases reported including a police officer of Samuktala. Alipurduar has 3200 confirmed cases of which 2662 have recovered and 27 died while 511 are active cases. 

92 of Coochbehar: 2 died, 92 new cases of Covid 19 infection. Coochbehar has 4188 confirmed cases of which 3585 have recovered, 20 died and 583 are active cases. 

48 of Jalpaiguri:  48 new cases reported from Jalpaiguri today. Jalpaiguri has 4640 confirmed cases of which 39 died while 4055 have recovered and 546 are active cases. 

45 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 45 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today.

 

NBMCH

12 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There 2 patients in Isolation ward-1, 2 patients in RICU ward and 8 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward are admitted. 

1 each of Kurseong, 1 of Pedong and 2 of Bagdhara Kalimpong are admitted. 1 released.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 68 patients are admitted today in this hospital at Himanchal Vihar of which 16 is newly admitted while 1 are released.  

1 each of Giddapahar, Sukuna, Kurseong Bazar, Batasia, Mahanadi, and 1 each of RC Mintri Road, Thakurbari Kalimpong and Mongpong Outpost of GTA area are admitted. 2 released.

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 61 Covid-19 patients are admitted, 17 are in ICU and 16 patients are newly admitted and 10 released,1 died. 

1 each of Makaibari, Below Darjeeling College, Jorebunglow, Zakir Hussain Road, and 1 each of Thakurbari, Kalimpong, and Monsong of GTA area are admitted.

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

50 patients are admitted of which 11 are in ICU are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital. Of these 32 are Covid patients. 2 died.

1 from Mirik of GTA admitted.

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES

The number of people in the district of Darjeeling are, 1003 in home quaramtine, in Kalimpong district 632 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1635.

There are 14 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital outside GTA area, 20 in GTA area and 44 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 4 in 3 Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 82 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.

Number of Covid patients in the eight districts of North Bengal

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 6113 confirmed cases of which 5328 have recovered and 91 died while 694 are active cases. 

Similarly Kalimpong district has 610 confirmed cases of which 521 have recovered, 3 died and 86 are active cases. 

Alipurduar has 3200 confirmed cases of which 2662 have recovered and 27 died while 511 are active cases. 

Jalpaiguri has 4640 confirmed cases of which 39 died while 4055 have recovered and 546 are active cases. 

Coochbehar has 4188 confirmed cases of which 3585 have recovered, 20 died and 583 are active cases.

Uttar Dinajpur has 2773 confirmed cases of which 2425 have recovered and 27 died and 321 are active cases.
