3 die, 16 in hills, 52 in SMC tests positive

72 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 16 in hills, 52 in SMC,  3 in Kalimpong, 7 in Darjeeling Municipality, 1 in Sukhiapokhari, 7 of Mirik, 1 in Takdah, Of the plains they are- 1 in Sukuna, 9 in Matigara, 15 in Naxalbari, 6 in Phansidewa and 3 in Khoribari, 68 in Coochbehar, 54 in Alipurduar, 14 in Jalpaiguri, 52 in Malda tested positive.

3 Death:

3 death reported during the last 24 hours in different dedicated Covid hospitals of Darjeeling district. 

Krishna Sarkar, 61 yr old of Dhupguri  Jalpaiguri died in Desun Covid Hospital, 

Satya Gopal Das, 65 yr old of Alipurduar died in RICU ward of NBMCH,One of Siliguri died in a Nursing home.

52 in SMC:

52 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (31 in Darjeeling and 21 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive.

81 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 81 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district 31 are from SMC area. Of the rest 50 of the district 16 are from the hills and they are -7 in Darjeeling Municipality, 1 in Sukhiapokhari, 7 of Mirik, 1 in Takdah, Of the plains they are- 1 in Sukuna, 9 in Matigara, 15 in Naxalbari, 6 in Phansidewa and 3 in Khoribari tested positive. 

Darjeeling district has 7706 confirmed cases of which 6939 have recovered and 106 died while 661 are active cases. 

3 infected in Kalimpong: 

3 new cases reported, Kalimpong district has 936 confirmed cases of which 773 have recovered, 7 died and 156 are active cases. 

52 in Malda: 

52 new cases reported today from Malda. Malda has 6653 confirmed cases of which 6187 have recovered and 56 died and 410 are active cases.

54 in Alipurduar:  

2 died, 54 new cases, 95 released reported. Alipurduar has 4511 confirmed cases of which 3929 have recovered and 49 died while 533 are active cases. 

68 in Coochbehar:  

68 new cases with 67 release reported. Coochbehar has 5599 confirmed cases of which 4868 have recovered, 36 died and 695 are active cases. 

14 in Jalpaiguri:

14 new cases, reported from Jalpaiguri today. Jalpaiguri has 5881 confirmed cases of which 57 died while 5288 have recovered and 536 are active cases. . 

72 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 72 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and other from Safe homes were discharged today.

NBMCH

9 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There is 1 patient in Surgical isolation ward, and 6 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward and 2 patient in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward are admitted. 1 of Sittong Kurseong and 1 of Chhota Suruk Kalimpong admitted.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 1 each of Sonada Old Cinema, Sonada, Garidhura, Naya Bazar, Mahldiram,  Krishnanagar Mirik, Saureni Mirik, Rongchung Lohapul, and 1 each of, Rockvale,  Sadhudhara, Kalimpong , Rambi Bazar, and Samthar of GTA area are admitted. 1 of Simulbari released. 

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 50 Covid-19 patients are admitted, 12 are in ICU and 12 patients are newly admitted and 9 released.

2 of Tungsung Road Darjeeling, 1 each of Dr. KB Abdul Aziz Road, Nagari TE, Bhutia Busty, Ropeway and 1 of 8th Mile Kalimpong of GTA area are admitted. 1 of Lamahatta eleased.

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

48 patients are admitted of which 13 are in ICU and are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital. Of these 32 are Covid patients. 5 patients are released.

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES

The number of people in the district of Darjeeling are, 1104 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 654 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1760.

There are 19 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital outside GTA area, 28 in GTA area and 41 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 12 in 2 Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 90 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.
