1 each of Bijanbari Pulbazar and Assam die, 70 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 11 in hills,  27 in SMC,  3 in Kalimpong, 3 in Darjeeling, 1 in Kurseong, 2 in Sukhiapokhari, 1 in Pulbazar, 1 of Mirik, 3 in Sukuna, 15 in Matigara, 2 each in Naxalbari, Phansidewa, Khoribari, 102 in Coochbehar, 63 in Alipurduar, 66 in Jalpaiguri, 37 in Malda tested positive.

2 Death:

2 deaths reported during the last 24 hours in different dedicated Covid hospitals of Darjeeling district. Purnima Subba, 36 yr old of Bijanbari Pulbazar died in Dr. Chhang’s SS Covid hospital.

Chhaya Sarkar, 58 yr old of Dhubri in Assam died in a Nursing home.

27 of SMC:

27 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (23 in Darjeeling and 4 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive.

55 of Darjeeling district:

Of the 55 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district 23 are from SMC area. Of the rest 22 of the district 8 are from the hills and they are -3 in Darjeeling Municipality, 1 in Kurseong Municipality, 2 in Sukhiapokhari, 1 in Pulbazar, 1 of Mirik. Of the plains they are- 3 in Sukuna, 15 in Matigara, 2 in Naxalbari, 2 in Phansidewa and 2 in Khoribari tested positive. Darjeeling district has 7474 confirmed cases of which 6613 have recovered and 104 died while 757 are active cases. 

3 infected in Kalimpong: 

3 new cases reported, Kalimpong district has 876 confirmed cases of which 708 have recovered, 7 died and 161 are active cases. 

37 of Malda: 

37 new cases including BDO of Habibpur and a doctor of Malda Medical College & Hospital reported today from Malda. Malda has 6491 confirmed cases of which 5936 have recovered and 55 died and 612 are active cases.

63 of Alipurduar:  

63 new cases, 106 released reported. Alipurduar has 4327 confirmed cases of which 3653 have recovered and 44 died while 630 are active cases. 

102 of Coochbehar:  

102 new cases with 106 release reported. Coochbehar has 5327 confirmed cases of which 4599 have recovered, 33 died and 695 are active cases. 

66 of Jalpaiguri:  

2 dead, 66 new cases, 51 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. Jalpaiguri has 5716 confirmed cases of which 55 died while 5049 have recovered and 612 are active cases. 

70 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 70 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and other from Safe homes were discharged today. 

NBMCH

12 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 3 patients in Surgical isolation ward, 4 patient in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward and 5 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward are admitted. 1 of Naya Bazar Kurseong and 2 of Lower Bhalukhop Khasmahal Jaldhaka admitted.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 80 patients are admitted today in this hospital at Himanchal Vihar of which 3 are newly admitted, 5 released.

1 each of Meadow Bank Darjeeling, Sonada,  Naya Busty, Tindharia, Garidhura, Lohagudi,  Subedar Busty Kurseong,  Sonada Old, Jorebunglow, SImulbari and 1 each of, Rockvale,  Sadhudhara, Kalimpong , Rambi Bazar, and Jaldhaka of GTA area are admitted. 2 of Meadow Bank Darjeeling, 2  released.

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 38 Covid-19 patients are admitted, 8 are in ICU and 3 patients are newly admitted and 10 released.

2 of Tungsung Road Darjeeling, 1 each of MG Road Darjeeling, Dr. KB Abdul Aziz Road, Lamahatta Busty, Nagari, Bhutia Busty and 1 of Kalimpong Bazar of GTA area are admitted.  

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

48 patients are admitted of which 13 are in ICU and are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital. Of these 32 are Covid patients. 5 patients are released.

The number of people in the district of Darjeeling are, 1155 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 652 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1807.

There are 23 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital outside GTA area, 33 in GTA area and 46 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 6 in 2 Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 108 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.
