4 death: 

Ratan Kumar Tamang, 65 year old of Jaigaon Alipurduar, died at Dr Chhang’s SS Covid hospital.

Imran Parvez, 28 year old of Ward No. 18 Dr Zakir Hussain Road Darjeeling died at Desun Covid hospital after his admission on 12 August.

Arvind Dutta, 53 year old of Mal Bazar Satyanaran more Ward no. 3 at Desun Covid hospital.

69 year old of Naxalbari died at RICU ward of NBMCH.

 

43 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation: During the last 24 hrs 43 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (28 of Darjeeling and 15 from Jalpaiguri district) tested positive. They are- 5 of Ward no. 43; 3  of Ward nos. 9, 36, 38, 46 ; 2 of Ward nos. 2, 3, 11, 16, 32, 40, 41 ;  1 of Ward nos. 5, 6, 9, 13, 24, 25, 27, 29, 31, 34, 35, 42, 44 and others.

 

85 of Darjeeling district:

Of the 85 positive cases of Darjeeling district 28 are from Darjeeling district of SMC while 57 cases are reported from different areas of the district during the last 24 hrs. They are  2 of Kalimpong, 2 of Sukhiapokhari, 2 of Bijanbari, 4 of Pulbazar, 1 of Takdah, 2 of Mirik, 2 of Sukuna, 20 of Naxalbari, 17 of Matigara, 6 of Phansidewa and 2 of Khoribari are active cases.   

Darjeeling district has 4307 confirmed cases of which 3388 have recovered and 60 died while 859 are active cases.

2 of Kalimpong district:  2 persons of Kalimpong tested positive, There are 402 confirmed cases of which 275 have recovered, 3 died and 124 are active cases. 

 

85 of Malda: 3 died, 85 new cases reported today from Malda. Malda has 4508 confirmed cases of which 3762 have recovered and 30 died and 716 are active cases.

 

31 of Alipurduar:  31 new cases reported. In the district there are 1297 confirmed cases of which 915 have recovered and 7 died while 375 are active cases. . 

28 of Coochbehar:  28 new cases of Covid 19 infection with 47 recovery is reported today. The complete report of the district is 2141 confirmed cases of which 1665 have recovered, 4 died and 472 are active cases. 

98 of Jalpaiguri: 98 new cases reported from Jalpaiguri today. Jalpaiguri has 2793 confirmed cases of which 26 died while 2085 have recovered and 682 are active cases. 

 

38  Discharged: 

After testing negative and recovery 14 of Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital and 5 of Desun Covid hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today.

 

NBMCH

24 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

There are no patient in ID-1, 2 in Surgical Isolation, 6 patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU), and 16 in Children- Female -Gynecological Isolation ward are admitted. 

1 of Kurseong released.1 died.

 

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 76 patients are admitted today in this hospital at Himanchal Vihar of which 5 are newly admitted while 12 are released. 

6 of Kurseong, 1 of Mirik ane 3 of Kalimpong admitted, 3 released. 2 died here.

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 83 Covid-19 patients are admitted and 21 patients are newly admitted and 10 released.

1 of Darjeeling, 3 of Kurseong and 1 of Sukhiapokhari are admitted in this hospital. 

1 from Dr Zakir Hussain Road Darjeeling died.

 

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

52 patients are admitted of which 12 are in ICU including a doctor of Bagdogra and are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital. Of these   are Covid patients. 7 released.

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 929 and in Kalimpong district is 690, the tally of GTA area stands to 1619. 

There are 15 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospitals outside GTA area, 44 in GTA area and 41 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 3 in 2 Safe homes out of GTA area, the tally being 103 as active cases.

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 4307 confirmed cases of which 3388 have recovered and 60 died while 859 are active cases.
