5 died of Covid in Darjeeling  district

Ashim Majumdar 58 yr, Deshbandhupara died in a nursing home. Naresh SIngha 55 yr of Khaliljote Phasidewa, Pramila Shil 79 yr of Halka -Matigara died in DESUN Hospital. Raghubir Das 78 yr, East Milanpalli and Kunal Kanti Majumdar 80 yr of Shantinagar died in RICU of NBMCH.

36 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation infected 

10 of Ward No. 9; 3 of Ward Nos.25, 31, 40; 2 of Ward Nos.29, 47; 1 each of Ward Nos.; 2, 3, 7, 8, 11, 25, 33, 30, 32, 43, 46, 47. Beside them 3 police personnel, 1 of Rajgunj, Shankar Ghose - BOA of SMC also tested positive.

18 of Malda:  18 new cases reported today from Malda. There are 2137 Confirmed cases, 1504 have recovered and 16 died and 629 are active cases. 

38 of Jalpaiguri:  38 new cases reported from Jalpaiguri today. 23 of Maynaguri, 4 of Jalpaiguri, 4 of Mal, 3 of Nagkatta, 4 of Matelli tested positive. In the district there are 1262 confirmed cases of which 901 have recovered, 11 died and 350 active cases.

30 of Coochbehar:  30 new cases of Covid 19 infection is reported today. The complete report of the district is 641 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and 1 of them had died, 449 recovery and 191 active cases. 

3 death and 7 of Alipurduar infected: One of Alipurduar Junction died in Tapsikhata Covid hospital, another patient of Samuktala died in district hospital and another of Dalsingpara died. One doctor of Alipurduar tested positive, including him, 7 new cases reported from Alipurduar. In the district there are 318 Confirmed cases, 220 recovered, 5 died and 89 active cases. 

37 Discharged: After testing negative twice and recovery, 6 patients from Dr. Chhang’s Covid Super specialty hospital, and 15 from Desun Covid hospital and 16 from Safe Homes were discharged today.

22 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

There are 4 patients in Isolation Ward-1, 3 patients in Surgical ward, 12 patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU), and 3 in Gynecological ward. 

1 eaxch of Jaldhaka and Bom Busty –GTA is admitted.

DR. CHHANG'S SS COVID hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 94 patients are admitted today. 

1 patient each of Jaldhaka, Subedar Busty-Kurseong, Pulbazar and Tungsung-Darjeeling, Mirik and  Tamsang- Darjeeling are admitted.

DESUN COvid hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 71 Covid-19 patients are admitted of which 17 are in ICU.

1 of Haridashatta Darjeeling is admitted in this hospital.

1 of Singmari is released.

41 patients are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital, Of these 26 are Covid patients.

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 998 and in Kalimpong district is 611, the tally of GTA area stands to 1609. 

Altogether there are 46 persons in 3 institutional facility quarantines and 26 patients in 3 Safe Homes of GTA.

Number of Covid patients in the eight districts of North Bengal

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 2166 confirmed cases of which 1514 have recovered and 22 died while 630 are active cases. 

Similarly Kalimpong district has 89 confirmed cases of which 71 have recovered, 1 died and 17 are active cases. 

Alipurduar has 347 confirmed cases of which 233 have recovered and 2 died while 112 are active cases. 

Jalpaiguri has 1314 confirmed cases of which 11 died while 940 have recovered and 363 are active cases. 

Coochbehar has 709 confirmed cases of which 494 have recovered, 1 died and 214 are active cases. 

Malda has 2287 confirmed cases of which 1947 have recovered and 12 died and 328 are active cases.

Uttar Dinajpur has 1157 confirmed cases of which 780 have recovered and 7 died and 370 are active cases.

Dakshin Dinajpur has 1155 confirmed cases of which 908 have recovered and 7 died and 240 are active cases.
