34 released, 8 death reported of Covid-19, 71 of Siliguri Municipality, 23 of Darjeeling dist and others (Kalimpong, Jaldhaka , Sukuna) 36 of Alipurduar, 15 of Malda, 28 of Jalpaiguri, 11 of Coochbehar tested positive

8 died of Covid 

Kishori Rajak, 63 yr of Ektiasal, Birendra Nath Biswas 85 yr of Sulkapara -Nagarkatta and Adhir Sarkar 80 yr of Falakatta  died at NBMCH. 

Rajiv Kumar, 49 yr of Raninagar, assistant commandment of 45 Btn of BSF, ; Sunil kr Dutta, 77 yr of Sukanta Nagar Bhaktinagar; Debidatta Agarwal, 80 yr of Green valley Sevoke Road, Chandra bdr Mit 73 yr of Bhanunagar Birpara and Sandhya Dey 72 yr of Birendra Krishna Sarani died in DESUN Covid Hospital.

71 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation infected 

10 of Ward No.7; 9 of Ward No.35; 8 of Ward No.2; 6 of Ward No.23; 5 of Ward No.27; 4 of Ward Nos.17, 31, 33; 3 of Ward Nos.10, 14; 2 of Ward No.20, 1 of Ward Nos. 3, 15,16,19, 20, 37, 39 tested positive. 

23 of Darjeeling, Kalimpong district and other areas

4 of Bagdogra -Naxalbari, 6 of Rajgunj, 2 of Majhabari, 1 each of Gairibas-Jaldhaka, Kalimpong Police Station, Sukuna, Khoribari, Raigunj and Islampur tested positive.

36 in Alipurduar: 1 of Birpara died, 36 new cases reported from Alipurduar. It includes 33 from Kalchini including Jaigaon. In the district there are 307 Confirmed cases, 219 recovered, 2 died and 86 active cases. 

15 of Malda:  15 new cases reported today from Malda. There are 1996 Confirmed cases, 1100 have recovered and 13 died and 68 are active cases. 

11 of Coochbehar:  11 new cases of Covid 19 infection is reported today. Infected patients include medical and bank staff. The complete report of the district is 566 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and 1 of them had died, 438 recovery and 127 active cases. 

28 of Jalpaiguri:  2 died in Siliguri. 7 new cases reported from Jalpaiguri today. 5 of Jalpaiguri, 4 of Oodlabari, 8 of Matelli, 11 of Maynaguri tested positive. In the district there are 1220 confirmed cases of which 840 have recovered, 11 died and 369 active cases.

34 Discharged: After testing negative twice and recovery, 34 patients from Dr. Chhang’s Covid Super specialty hospital, and Desun Covid hospital and others from Safe Homes were discharged today.

NBMCH

24 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

There are 3 patients in Isolation Ward-1, 3 patients in Surgical ward, 10 patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU), and 8 in Gynecological ward. 

1 of Bom Busty –GTA is admitted.

DR. CHHANG'S SS COVID hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 78 patients are admitted today. 

1 patient each of Subedar Busty-Kurseong, Pulbazar and Tungsung-Darjeeling, and 2 from Tamsang- Darjeeling are admitted.

DESUN hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 59 Covid-19 patients are admitted of which 21 are in ICU.

1 each of Singmari and Haridashatta Darjeeling are admitted in this hospital.

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

38 patients are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital, Of these 26 are Covid patients.

33 patients are admitted in this Safe house. 1 of Barbong- Kurseong is admitted to this Safe House.

1 patient of Lower Echchhey Kalimpong is admitted.

4 patients of Kalimpong and 2 from Darjeeling are admitted in this hospital. Government of West Bengal has upgraded this hospital from SARI II to SARI IV Covid hospital.

13 Covid patients of Darjeeling are being treated here.

DISHA SAFE HOME

9 Covid patients of Kalimpong district are admitted and being treated here.

ITI SAFE HOME, Gorubathan

4 Covid patients of Gorubathan are being treated here. 

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 998 and in Kalimpong district is 611, the tally of GTA area stands to 1609. 

Altogether there are 43 persons in 2 institutional facility quarantines and 26 patients in 3 Safe Homes of GTA.

Number of Covid patients in the eight districts of North Bengal

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 2001 confirmed cases of which 1390 have recovered and 22 died while 589 are active cases. 

Similarly Kalimpong district has 82 confirmed cases of which 70 have recovered, 1 died and 11 are active cases. 

Alipurduar has 318 confirmed cases of which 227 have recovered and 1 died while 90 are active cases. 

Jalpaiguri has 1251 confirmed cases of which 11 died while 872 have recovered and 368 are active cases. 

Coochbehar has 605 confirmed cases of which 467 have recovered, 1 died and 137 are active cases. 

Malda has 2165 confirmed cases of which 1832 have recovered and 11 died and 322 are active cases.

Uttar Dinajpur has 1104 confirmed cases of which 696 have recovered and 6 died and 402 are active cases.

Dakshin Dinajpur has 1094 confirmed cases of which 805 have recovered and 7 died and 292 are active cases.
