3 death and 51 new cases in SIliguri, 2 of Darjeeling, 36 of Malda, 2 of Jalpaiguri tested positive - no cases in Coochbehar, and Alipurduar.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 6 July 2020: 

Siliguri: 3 died: In the last 24 hrs 3 person died in Siliguri. 53 yr old Debabrata Bose, a Covid patient of Ward no. 38 Sukantanagar died in Desun hospital last night.

Punam Chhetri 25 yr old of Pati Colony -Majdoor Busty, Bhaktinagar died.She later tested positive.

63 yr old Maidan Nisha of Katihar of Bihar residing at Bhaktinagar died at RICU ward in NBMCH today. 

51 of Darjeeling district tested positive. In the district record 51 cases were reported. It includes 47 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation, 2 of Darjeeling including a lady doctor of District hospital and an employee of a Salon of Jagriti Gram, 1 each of Naxalbari, and Bagdogra.

The 47 are:- 13 of Ward no.46, 4 of Ward no.25, 3 each of Ward no.3, Ward no.31, 2 each of Ward no.7, Ward no.14, Ward no.18, Ward no.29, Ward no.35,  1 each of Ward no. 19, Ward no.2 , Ward no.4 , Ward no.6, Ward no.12 , Ward no.14, Ward no.15, Ward no.27, Ward no.31, Ward no.36, Ward no.43, Ward no.44 and Ward no.47.

Recovery: Ashok Bhattacharya Chairman of BoA of Siliguri Municipal Corporation and MLA was released today after 21 days of his hospitalization for Covid19. Lately he tested negative and was discharged from Neotia Getwell.

20 patients were released from different Covid hospitals of Siliguri. 

Malda: 36 new cases were reported today. So far 3 patients have died from Kaliachak. One police inspector and a police personnel and a Panchayat Sabhapati of Kaliachak are infected of the virus. As all classes of people are getting infected, it is feared that community transmission has already been started in the district. Strict lockdown will be implemented in Englishbazar from 8 July. There are 818 Confirmed cases, 466 have recovered and 3 died and 349 are active cases. 

Jalpaiguri:  2 new cases from Jalpaiguri reported today. In the district there are 396 confirmed cases of which 321 have recovered, 4 died and 71 active cases.

Coochbehar:  No new cases of Covid 19 infection reported today. The complete report of the district is 299 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and 1 of them had died, 296 recovery and 2 active cases. 

Alipurduar:   No new cases reported from Alipurduar. In the district there are 195 Confirmed cases, 141 recovered and 54 active cases. 

NBMCH

There are 16 patients in the three Isolation Ward of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). 1 patient in Isolation Ward-1, 1 patient in Paediatric Isolation Ward, 11 patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU) and 3 patient in Gynecological Isolation unit are admitted, 

2 patients of Isolation ward and RICU ward have tested positive.

Covid hospital

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 38 patients are admitted today. 

DESUN hospital

DESUN hospital is the second Covid hospital of Darjeeling district. In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 58 Covid-19 patients are admitted. 

   

Tribeni Hospital

There are 4 patients of Darjeeling and 2 of Kalimpong today in Triveni hospital.

3 of Kalimpong are released today.

HATIGHISA SAFE HOUSE 

12 patients are admitted in Hatighisa Safe House. 

GTA

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 6 July 2020: 

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 1507 and in Kalimpong district is 1162, the tally of GTA area stands to 2673. 

Altogether there are 102 persons in 6 institutional facility quarantines of GTA.

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 528 confirmed cases of which 301 have recovered and 10 died while 217 are active cases. Similarly Kalimpong district has 55 confirmed cases of which 48 have recovered, 1 died and 6 are active cases. Alipurduar has 186 confirmed cases of which 175 have recovered while 11 are active cases. Jalpaiguri has 364 confirmed cases of which 1 died while 294 have recovered and 69 are active cases. CoochBehar has 305 confirmed cases of which 300 have recovered and 5 are active cases. Malda has 706 confirmed cases of which 431 have recovered and 1 died and 268 are active cases.
