2nd Covid death from Kalimpong district, 3 dies in Siliguri, 54 of Darjeeling district, Record 51 and 1 death of Malda, 5 of Jalpaiguri, 1 of Coochbehar tested positive to Covid -19.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 13 July 2020:  

1 of Kalimpong district , 1 of Darjeeling and 1 of Jalpaiguri  died in Siliguri:  

The seond Covid death after a period of 3 and half months in Kalimpong district is reported today. The patient who died is from Bihar but had been staying at Sombaray Bazar of Gorubathan, in the Kalimpong district. The 55 yr old Umamati Devi was admitted in RICU ward of NBMCH with respiratory related illness and died there. Her swab test was done after her death and was found to be positive to Covid-19. 

The other patient who died today is a 67 yr old of New Rangia, Siliguri and was admitted in RICU ward of NBMCH.

Another woman , 42 yr old of Mal Bazar died in Dr. Chhang’s Covid hospital.

54 of Darjeeling district tested positive:  Of the 54 cases 40 positive cases are from different wards of Siliguri Municipal Corporation, while 5 are from Naxalbari, 5 from Matigara and 1 from Phansidewa. Besides these 1 is from Darjeeling town, 1 from Pulbazar and 1 from Rajgunj. 

Of the 40 cases of SMC are- 8 of Ward no.9, 5 of Ward no.5, 3 of Ward no.43

 2 of Ward no.2, Ward no.4, Ward no.7, Ward no.46. In addition to it 1 each of of Ward no.1, Ward no.3, Ward no.4, Ward no.13, Ward no.25, Ward no.28, Ward no.30, Ward no.33, Ward no.34, Ward no.35, Ward no.37, Ward no.38, Ward no.39, Ward no.40, Ward no.45, Dabgram Shanti Colony, Khalpara, Hyderpara, Ashrampara, Sevoke Road.   

13 Discharged: After testing negative twice and recovery from the infection 13 patients are discharged from the Covid hospitals of Siliguri.

Jalpaiguri:  2 new cases is reported from Jalpaiguri today. In the district there are 571 confirmed cases of which 309 have recovered, 4 died and 258 active cases.

Malda:  51 record new cases and 1 death reported today from Malda. There are 1130 Confirmed cases, 674 have recovered and 7 died and 499 are active cases. 

Coochbehar:  1 new cases of Covid 19 infection reported today. The complete report of the district is 347 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and 1 of them had died, 303 recovery and 46 active cases. 

Alipurduar:   No new cases reported from Alipurduar. In the district there are 207 Confirmed cases, 187 recovered and 20 active cases. 

NBMCH

There are 18 patients in the three Isolation Ward of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). 7 patients in Isolation Ward-1, 2 patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU), 1 in ENT and 8 patients (including the injured wife of the dead Covid teacher who with her two daughters were injured during a suicide bid) in Surgical ward are admitted. 

1 of Sukuna is admitted in Isolation ward of NBMCH.

DR. CHHANG'S SS COVID hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 87 patients are admitted today. 

There are 3 patients of GTA, 1 patient of Boxi Jhora Darjeeling, 1 patient of Lebong and 1 of Kalimpong are admitted.

DESUN hospital

DESUN hospital is the second Covid hospital of Darjeeling district. In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 49 Covid-19 patients are admitted.  

1 patient of Sukuna is admitted.   

Released 1 of Kalimpong.

TRIBENI Hospital

Presently there are 7 patients, 4 patients of Darjeeling and 3 of Kalimpong in Triveni hospital.

HATIGHISA SAFE HOUSE 

There are 3 patients of GTA- 1 patient of Lower Mirik, 1 of Lower Tungsung and 1 of China Club Chowrasta are admitted in Hatighisa Safe House. 

BATASIA SAFE HOUSE 

1 patient of Mirik of GTA with asymptomatic Covid positive diagnosis is admitted to this Safe House. 

GTA

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 13 July 2020: 

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 1427 and in Kalimpong district is 1016, the tally of GTA area stands to 2443. 

Altogether there are 65 persons in 5 institutional facility quarantines of GTA.

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 945 confirmed cases of which 587 have recovered and 13 died while 345 are active cases. 

Similarly Kalimpong district has 57 confirmed cases of which 55 have recovered, 1 died and 1 are active cases. 

Alipurduar has 205 confirmed cases of which 188 have recovered while 17 are active cases. Jalpaiguri has 577 confirmed cases of which 3 died while 387 have recovered and 187 are active cases. 

CoochBehar has 360 confirmed cases of which 310 have recovered and 50 are active cases. 

Malda has 1211 confirmed cases of which 804 have recovered and 7 died and 400 are active cases.
