2 Covid patient dies in Siliguri, 45 of Darjeeling district tested positive, 25 of Siliguri (SMC), 8 of Matigara, 4 of Phasidewa, 2 of Naxalbari, 1 of Sukuna, 1 of Mirik, 42 of Jalpaiguri, 42 of Malda, 19 of Coochbehar tested positive to Covid -19.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 11 July 2020: 

2 died in Siliguri:  Md. Najimuddin,  60 yr old Covid patient of Netajinagar died today in Desun hospital. He was referred from NBMCH.

Bikash Chakraborty, 40 yr old of Bikashnagar -Salugara died this morning in Desun hospital. He was referred from Siliguri district hospital.

Strict lock down has been followed in 9 wards of Siliguri Municipal Corporation which are recognised as Containment zone. They are Ward numbers 2, 4, 5, 28, 46, 37, 38, 39, 43.

45 tested positive: Of the 45 patients of the district detected today are one each from Matigara (43 yr old), Samastipur Bihar but arrived in Siliguri, Salugara (57 yr old), Bardhaman Road  (34 yr old), Paglahat (30 yr old). Beside them there were 14 of Ward no.35 (26, 29, 29, 32, 42, 47, 52, 55, 57, 58, 58, 78, 90 yrs old), 

10 of Ward no.4 (5, 20, 29, 30, 38, 48, 50, 52, 55, 60 yrs old), 4 of Ward no.46 (24, 35, 57, 59 yrs old), 2 of Ward no.29 (27, 48 yrs old), Ward no.2 (32, 65 yrs old), Ward no.5 (20, 30 yrs old), Ward no.38 (46, 60 yrs old).

Beside them, 8 of Matigara, 4 of Phansidewa, 2 of Naxalbari, 1 of Sukuna, 1 of Mirik also tested positive. 

Malda:  42 new cases reported today from Malda. There are 1031 Confirmed cases, 574 have recovered and 6 died and 451 are active cases. 

Jalpaiguri:  42 new cases from Jalpaiguri reported today. In the district there are 514 confirmed cases of which 377 have recovered, 4 died and 83 active cases.

Coochbehar:  19 new cases of Covid 19 infection reported today. The complete report of the district is 329 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and 1 of them had died, 301 recovery and 27 active cases. 

Alipurduar:   No new cases reported from Alipurduar of which one is a health worker of Falakatta another is from Birpara. In the district there are 196 Confirmed cases, 179 recovered and 17 active cases. 

NBMCH

There are 11 patients in the three Isolation Ward of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). 6 patients in Isolation Ward-1, 1 patient in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU) and 4 patients in gynecological ward are admitted. 

1 of Sukuna is admitted in Isolation ward of NBMCH.

DR. CHHANG'S SS COVID hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 58 patients are admitted today. 

There are 4 patients of GTA, 1 new patient of Boxi Jhora Darjeeling and 1 of Kalimpong is admitted. 1 patient each of Lower Tungsung and Chinese Club, Chowrasta Darjeeling are admitted a few days ago.

DESUN hospital

DESUN hospital is the second Covid hospital of Darjeeling district. In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 34 Covid-19 patients are admitted.  

1 patient of Kalimpong is admitted today.   

TRIBENI Hospital

There are 3 patients, 2 patients of Darjeeling while 1 of Kalimpong is admitted today in Triveni hospital.

HATIGHISA SAFE HOUSE 

11 patient of Mirik is admitted today in Hatighisa Safe House. 

BATASIA SAFE HOUSE 

1 patient of Mirik of GTA with asymptomatic Covid positive diagnosis is admitted to this Safe House.

GTA

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 11 July 2020: 

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 1542 and in Kalimpong district is 1063, the tally of GTA area stands to 2605. 

Altogether there are 63 persons in 5 institutional facility quarantines of GTA.

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 836 confirmed cases of which 527 have recovered and 12 died while 297 are active cases. 

Similarly Kalimpong district has 56 confirmed cases of which 54 have recovered, 1 died and 1 are active cases. 

Alipurduar has 194 confirmed cases of which 186 have recovered while 8 are active cases. Jalpaiguri has 508 confirmed cases of which 3 died while 377 have recovered and 128 are active cases. 

CoochBehar has 318 confirmed cases of which 308 have recovered and 10 are active cases. 

Malda has 1096 confirmed cases of which 715 have recovered and 7 died and 374 are active cases.
