2 Covid deaths reported, 36 released, 35 positive cases including a police inspector recorded in Siliguri, 26 of Malda, 2 of Alipurduar, 1 of Jalpaiguri tested positive.

Siliguri: Dipak Mallik, 42 yr old patient of Dalkhola died in NBMCH, another 79 yr old Jagdish psd Agarwal of Station feeder Road died today in a nursing home.Both tested positive before their death. 

35 of Siliguri tested positive: They belong to ward no.46 (18, 23, 30, 44, 48,  51, 75 yr old), ward no.5 (1, 5, 21, 23, 28, 31 yr old), ward no.10 (7, 30, 40, 47, 49 yr old), ward no.3 (57, 61 yr old), ward no.37 (40, 54 yr old), ward no.1 (35 yr old), ward no.5 (51 yr old), ward no.6 (72 yr old), ward no.13 (45 yr old), ward no.14 (28 yr old), ward no.19 (39 yr old),  ward no.20 & 23 (64 yr old), ward no.26 (53 yr old), ward no.42 (48 yr old), ward no.43 (23 yr old), ward no.44 (48 yr old) and one from Rajgunj (57 yr old). It includes a police inspector.

Recovery: 46 patients released from three Covid hospitals. 3 are from GTA area. Yesterday 42 patients were released.

They were released from Desun Covid hospital, Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital and Hatighisa Safe home.

Condition of Ex Mayor Ashok Bhattacharya is improving day by day.

Malda: 26 new cases reported from Malda. There are 648 Confirmed cases, 348 recovered and 300 active cases.

Alipurduar:   2 new cases reported from Alipurduar. In the district there are 188 Confirmed cases, 134 recovered and 54 active cases.

Jalpaiguri:  1 new case from Jalpaiguri. Tally of district is 354 Confirmed cases of which 290 have recovered, 4 died and 60 are active cases.

Coochbehar:  No new case of Covid 19 infection reported. The complete report of the district is 297 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and 1 of them had died, 291 recovery and 4 active cases. 

NBMCH

There are 19 patients in the Isolation wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). 9 patients in Isolation ward-1, 3 patients in Surgical Isolation ward, 5 patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU) and 2 patients in Gynecological Isolation unit are admitted. 

SARI ward with 48 bed is started today in NBMCH.

Covid hospital

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 72 patients are admitted today.1 patient of Kalimpong, GTA area is admitted in the Dr. Chhang’s SS Covid hospital.

3 patients, 1 each of Chunabhatti Tindharia, Kaijaley,and Badamtam are released today.

DESUN hospital

DESUN hospital is the second Covid hospital of Darjeeling district. In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 26 Covid-19 patients are admitted. 

Tribeni Hospital

4 patients of Kalimpong and 1 from Darjeeling are admitted in this hospital.

There are 5 patients today.

HATIGHISA SAFE HOUSE 

1 patient of Gorubathan of GTA with asymptomatic Covid positive diagnosis is admitted to Hatighisa Safe House.  

GTA

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 1 July 2020: 

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 1870 and in Kalimpong district is 1191, the tally of GTA area stands to 3061. 

Altogether there are 60 persons in 8 institutional facility quarantines of GTA.

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 495 confirmed cases of which 274 have recovered and 10 died while 211 are active cases. Similarly Kalimpong district has 53 confirmed cases of which 48 have recovered, 1 died and 4 are active cases. Alipurduar has 184 confirmed cases of which 168 have recovered while 16 are active cases. Jalpaiguri has 354 confirmed cases of which 1 died while 290 have recovered and 63 are active cases. CoochBehar has 304 confirmed cases of which 300 have recovered and 4 are active cases. Malda has 676 confirmed cases of which 393 have recovered and 1 died and 282 are active cases.
